Brett Favre can add "Coach Killer" to his list of attributes, right after "Drama Queen".
Mike Sherman - Fired
Eric Mangini - Fired (even though he named his son after Favre)
Brad Childress - Fired |

As much as Brett Favre annoys me and I wish he go away, I don't think he's the reason why Childress lost thist team. |

Tony's too classy for the likes of Jerry. And Cowher's too much of a man for Jerry, LOL. Dallas' best shot is Shanahan I bet he quits retires after this year, with the new McNabb deal and all. No coach in his right mind wants Jerry all up on his nuts. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired! |

He ain't THAT bad. I think he wants to win at any cost to protect his brand and will sit down IF he sees results. He only interferes when he loses faith in the coach due to lackluster results. Folks like to conveniently forget that he left Parcells 95% alone and YET he still didn't accomplish shit but alienate his players. |

No way! Tony Dungy is far too classy to deal with Jerry Jones' shenanigans, and Bill Cowher will tell Jerry Jones to f&^% off while he's coaching from the sidelines, so I'm just curious who would want to coach for Jerry Jones yet be effective at the same time.

Tony isn't going to be bothered with an egomaniacal owner who thinks he knows something about football. No, no, hell no. |

I don't really get this. Another six games was going to make a difference somehow? I don't think men getting played vast sums of money to play a SPORT for a living should have the power to get their boss fired. That aspect of professional sports has always bugged me.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I think if Dallas doesn't keep Garret that they'll get Gruden. Can't you picture Chucky scowling on the Dallas sidelines? I can. |

It's a sport that people pay $billions to watch so first and foremost, it's a business.
There is not a single decision made in any professional sport that doesn't have as it's number one consideration this question - How will this decision affect our bottom line?
It's business. No different than making air fresheners or computing tax returns. |

Although I understand and fully agree with what you said, I'm not sure how your response applies to my comments. First, they aren't losing money. Their games are still sold out and their fans are hard core. Second, they payed Childress something like six and a half million to go away. That's not generally considered a good business plan. Last, he was still forced out by the players who are WELL PAID to do what they're told. I don't believe players in professional sports should have this power. In the "real world", if a boss is unliked people either figure out how to work with them or find a different job. Ya know? |
