I like it because it connects me with people without actually having to go out of my way to talk to them. But if I feel like it I can make a little comment to that guy I haven't spoken to in 20 years and it's no big deal.
It is also a way of more personally connecting with people you know only from online, like orgers.
Often I prefer the relative anonymity of this place, though. My Legacy

MY family is scattered all over the US, and I typically have not kept up correspondance with them, and facebook is the perfect way to do that. My Legacy

^ Ironically what you like about it (family) is what I don't like about it. I had to encounter some strange drama a couple of weeks ago between my cousins on my father's side. Talk about drama. Since I'm not on it, they didn't argue with me but with each other over some b.s. rumors.

yeah there are some times I wish my family was not on it. But my familiy is more into repression than drama, so not much chance of arguing over bs rumors My Legacy

For the most part I do get along with the family I do talk to (like my preacher cousin from New Jersey) but that is if I make an effort to go there lol other than that I don't really mess with FB like that.

Well, I just found an uncle that I've never met before, on fb last night! I also located his children (my cousins), who are scattered about in the west. So I think fb is GRRREAT!
Smooches;)
