Sorry to hear about your troubles, but glad you got your money! I owed them for a while and stretched it out pretty far. Finally they were just like, "dude, we're taking your money". Which was fine, because I had it and I'd been stretching out paying them on purpose. But then, like, six months later they sent me a check for something like $16 telling me they took too much. WTF? Our government is so broken.

You know the funny thing is?? My Cher musical collection is actually kind of limited. I have Greatest Hits and Believe and whatever the album that came after Believe was.

I just worship her al around Awesomeness.

I believe I would too. It's just that I found someone on this thread I could share a joke with. But I'm strong enough to move on from it.

Years ago, I got a letter from the IRS totally out of the blue. It said they had reviewed my previous year's taxes and found that I had overpaid and should have gotten a refund. They included a check with interest. I was quite pleased.

So, congrats on the refund, BklynBabe! I hope they do right by you.

that's what I said! do you know during the 5 years they had the nerve to tell me I underpaid my taxes and harass me....I'm like how I owe you when you owe me more then they tried to tell me they had no record of the payments that they took directly from my bank account....

finally they sent me to Taxpayer Advocate....been dicking with this asshole all summer.
