What can I put on my pumpkin seeds?

I've already done garlic sea salt and black pepper and a batch with just very light salt. But I've still got enough seeds for two more batches. What can I put on them?

We always throw them out, but I've been told olive oil.

Ooo I like that idea. Do you soak and drain, or just stir them around in it and then bake?

Stir and bake, baby! biggrin

Actually, stir the seeds in the butter, then spread them on a baking sheet and sprinkle them with the worcestershire. No salt needed - the worcestershire is salty enough.

Cool. I'll be trying that at some point tonight. I've got SOOO much to do before Thursday and the damn cat keeps slowing me down. But I finally got all the pumpkins seeded and baked today. Shew! Think I'm going to bust out a couple pies later, too.

So, I'm thinking (dangerous, I know)...I could do this with squash seeds, right? Cuz I hardly ever do anything with pumpkin, but I eat squash occasionally. hmmm

Are the seeds edible? I don't think all seeds are. But I'm sure SOME of them are. Never thought about it myself, but you're right. I just toss out all other squash seeds, too.

Oh, butter and Whatsthatthere is quite tasty. nod

I was thinking the same thing a few nights ago when I was prepping the Butternut Squash for roasting.

I just did some looking around and the consensus seems to be that seeds from all varieties of squash (and melon) are edible. woot!
