a good hit involves only one bullet. any more, too much noise, time. i read that in a book, somewhere smile it must be true

That makes sense, too. When you read about a known "hit" the murder is usually very "tidy," with one bullet to the forehead or back of the head and no evidence left behind.

personally, if i were an assassin, i'd make my hits look like accidents. biggrin no investigation....

sad .I live in Los Angeles and I guess I'm not jaded and these local stories of random violence still disturbs me. She was just on her way home and bam, someone decided to end her life for no apparent reason. There was another recent story about an unfortunate victim of a hit and run. It just so happened my partner was on his way home from work when he drove past the body on the street. The ambulance was on its way, so it just must have happened. The description of what he saw was too gruesome to divulge. Just another day in L.A.

Man Linked To Publicist Death Shoots Self

December 1, 2010

Los Angeles police say a man believed to be connected to the slaying of publicist Ronni Chasen shot himself to death at a Hollywood hotel as Beverly Hills police served a search warrant.

LAPD spokeswoman Mitzi Grasso says the officers were serving the warrant at about 6 p.m. Wednesday when the man shot himself. The man's name wasn't released, and his exact connection to the Chasen killing wasn't immediately known.

Beverly Hills police Chief David Snowden tells the Associated Press that the man "was a person of interest only."

The 64-year-old Chasen was shot to death two weeks ago as she drove through Beverly Hills on her way home from a movie premiere. Beverly Hills police have released no motive and remain tightlipped about progress in the investigation.

The shooting was first reported by the Los Angeles Times.

nod You got it. I've watched far too many episodes of Forensic Files, Autopsy, and Dominic Dunne's Power, Privilege & Justice to know exactly what happened in this case.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

The scary part, I think, is was this isolated? I mean, what current project was Chasen working on that would've been so important as to make her death necessary? And if there was no such impending project, what would make her a more desirable hit than, say, any other Hollywood publicist? Until a motive is identified, seems her entire professional community might have cause to be nervous.

Well it's just like someone said before, you don't really know what's going on in a person's life. We are just looking at the surface right now, but just wait, I can almost bet you there are some things that were in the dark that's bound to come to light. This incident is definitely an execution style type of homocide. We'll just have to wait and see how it plays out.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

The police force is engaging in a cover-up and the dead alleged gunman is the fall guy. I'm not buying the report that he left the scene of the crime on a bicycle! In Beverly Hills? Six miles from his residence? Empty handed? The police initially said the shooter was an expert marksman, but not now that part of story has changed. It doesn't add up.

At first the BPD said, there was no way he was the suspect, but now he's the gunman who killed himself. hmm
