Who can forget the 80's and all the b list actors that were quite popular back then. Those such as Molly Rindwald, Jerry O'Connell, Corey Haim, Anthonmy Michael Hall, Ally Sheedy and Andrew McCarthy just to name a few.

Molly Ringwald - Married and lived in France 4 years. Last couple of years, came back 2 the states, divorced her french husband stating he was physically and emotionally abusive. Tried a sitcom called "Townies" and failed. Turned up in the funny movie called "Not Another Teen Movie"... it was a funny moment.

Jerry O'Connell - Currently has the Number One comedy movie out in "Kangaroo Jack". He was the "fat kid" in "Stand By Me" starring River Phoenix and the .org's newest celebrity Corey Feldman.

Corey Haim - I have no idea.

Anthony Michael Hall - Currently starring in the T.V. series, "The Dead Zone". He is also producing it. It's getting "rave" reviews.

Ally Sheedy - Um, I think she went thru some hard times. I heard she got strung up on the "horse". Luckily, I saw her on "Oz" not so long ago. I think she's on her way back.

Andrew McCarthy - My wife had the biggest crush on this guy. Why? I have no idea. I have no idea what he's up 2 now...

Saw an E! special about him not too long ago. If I remember correctly, in recent years he's been: dealing off and on with a substance abuse addiction, declared bankruptcy, is trying to resurrect a career in showbiz, and is living either with his parent(s) or alone in a crummy apartment by the beach.



She was in a critically very well-received movie a few years ago called 'High Art'. I saw it and she was very, very good in it. I recently heard she is putting out a children's book, and is going to be in a play in New York.



Oo, I had a crush on him, too! MAJOR! All I know about him recently is sometimes he shows up in cable movies (pretty unforgettable..) and is going to be in an upcoming episode of The Twilight Zone TV show.


Speaking of Punky Brewster (Soleil Moon Frye), she had a breast reduction awhile back. That's all I know about her.

Now, who knows anything about my other 80s heartthrob, James Spader?? He was GORGEOUS!

Minor trivia point on Ferris Bueller's Day Off... remember the scene where Ferris picks up his girlfriend at school? I wonder if that was the same building used for the exterior shots at the beginning and end of The Breakfast Club. They're both John Hughes films, set in the Chicago area, and according to the Internet Movie Database, two Chicago-area high schools were used as filming locations in both movies. But I haven't seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off in a few years, and I don't have a copy of it. (I do have The Breakfast Club on DVD.)

Why I think of things like that, I don't know.

It's a pretty shit release. They didn't do anything besides put a bad transfer of the movie onto DVD. No extras or anything to speak of. I'm sure at one point they will go back and do up those 80's movies proper.

As lovemachine suggests, it's nothing special. The only "extras" are some short cast bios. It's not even in stereo. But, it is nice to have the movie in widescreen format and with the added picture quality of DVD... I certainly prefer it to the VHS version.

I met Anthony Michael Hall about 5 or 6 years ago at a Greazy Meal show. The people who introduced me to him told me that he was deep into some shit, like crack or something . He was with some shady lookin' guys as well. He definitely looked tweaked out on something, and he was also very fat. He looks better now though.
