Sad to say that this fool is from my county. What makes it so fucked up is that this woman just got elected to the county government two weeks ago! Her husband, Jack Johnson, was on his way out after serving 16 years as a county executive. These fools had checks and cash all over the house. When Leslie Johnson called her husband on a cell phone to tell him the shit was about to hit the fan, he told her to tear up the checks and hide the cash in her draws. Only problem was is that the phone was bugged and the good old boys in suits were listening. I don't know if Leslie Johnson is a big woman or not, but I guess that was one day her ass was humongous!

A city big wig in Dallas just got convected of something like this. taking bribes for housing projects or something. and then some lady congress woman (or a senator) was taking public money and giving it to her family and the family of her staffers for college. first they said it did not happen, then they said it happened but it was an accident. then they found a bunch more and they said some lie about how not enough people applied for the scholarships (AND she just got re-elected). And a few years before that another city guy got convicted then it was over turned. then he died.

so do not feel too bad. there are a lot of scum in public office.

What makes it so ridiculous is that these idiots think they'll never get caught. I might be opening up a whole can of shit here, but I've always contended that when black folk get elected into public office, they need to be squeaky clean, especially when dealing with public funds or contracts. "Mr. Charlie" is watching him 10 times harder and is just waiting in the cut for "Sam" to fuck up.
