Christmas Shopping

Have you started yet?

Do you have a lot of people to buy for?

What are you buying them?

I got a few christmas presents today for a few kids in my family. I have no idea what to buy for any of the adults.

My 4 year old son has asked for chocolate and my 6 year old daughter would like some sweets. That's all they've asked for. confused This weekend I think i'll take them for a walk around Toys R Us to see what they like.

I just bought Sweetie an early Christmas present today. He's having major surgery the first week in December and will be laid up for about a month, so I bought him two boxed sets of Errol Flynn movies. Captain Blood, Charge of the Light Brigade, The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex, The Sea Hawk, Dive Bomber, Dodge City, They Died With Their Boots On, Dawn Patrol, Gentleman Jim, Adventures of Don Juan - plus a documentary on Flynn. cool

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

And you're stuck for presents for men. Aren't they always so hard to buy for? I hate choosing presents for men.

What she's not telling y'all is Sweetie hates Errol Flynn, she just wants him back up and out the house.

You're such a bitch. hmph!

I have a shelf in the closet going with a few presents so far. I also usually shop for Ron's work gals. I just ask for some info on the ones I might not yet know and off I go. :p:

* I usually get some item of clothing for my niece.

* My daughter may inherit my old laptop, all polished and tuned up. At the moment, though, she's headed toawrd getting a lump of coal. confused

* Our downstairs neighbors will get gift certificates to a local theatre; but I'd like the mom also to have my dictionary of angels.

* Not sure what I'm doing for my mom yet. hmmm

My wife and I don't generally trade Christmas gifts. Our anniversary is New Year's Day, and we generally hook each other up with a nice excursion somewhere.

I've started window shopping. I have an idea of what I'm getting my nieces and nephews. I buy for 7 nephews/nieces, my mom and her husband, my dad and his wife, my grandma and my best friend. Oh, and a couple of secret Santa's. And I like to bake holiday cookies and candies to share with co-workers and friends.

Shake it til ya make it dancing jig

I am almost done. This year is really easy though, except for hubby's gift(yes, men are hard to buy for). We are going to go shopping together, he wants a new wallet but is so picky, there is no way that I could get the "right one". I need a new pair of trainers and not sure what size I am right now.

His family do not celebrate Christmas, apart from Nanna and she is easy! A framed photo of her Grandson. mr.green

My mom is 5000 miles away so decided since we will be together next year that we will save our money. Instead of wasting it on postage, we will have a huge celebration next year.

I have bought a few things for the little man. Being 14 months old on Christmas means, he still has no clue so we do not have to go crazy.

woot!

In Germany gift giving is place at a minimum in comparison to the meaning of the season and the good news it heralds for Christians. So it's customary only to receive one gift...if you even feel like exchangng gifts at all. Most people are in church, or spend the time feasting and skiing.

This year all I want is warm pajamas or perfume. It's cold and all that cutsie silk and cotton nghtie stuff ain't gonna cut it this winter. My old dude is addicted to vanilla scents so I would like to find a high end organic vanilla thingie for him...a fragrance or a premium moisturizer because he has very sensitive skin. Christmas for me has become more of a serious time of reflection, humility, praise, and worship. I prefer to spend my big money at other times of the year, particularly summer..when it doesn't coincide with a holy high holiday. butterfly

This is what I love about young kids! My two still still aren't fussed about getting expensive presents so we're gonna make the most of it biggrin
