Is she being a baby? Help me out here. This is what happened recently:
Raymond was asked to give the boss a ride home recently, so the boss told Raymond to just go home after he drops off the boss. It was around 3:15pm. Raymond normally gets off at 05:00pm
Kathy who works right next to Raymond, who has the same hours, has the attitude of hey thats not fair , I didn't get to get off early!!! She is upset!
Is Kathy being a baby or is she justified in being upset? Do you remember lying in bed

Has anyone seen that movie "Extract" with Jason Bateman? There is a "Kathy" working in the factory, and if she believes someone else on the floor isn't pulling their weight, she simply stops working!! Which is disastrous on a factory line.

Hell yeah. In the same situation, I'm updating fantasy football teams and shit once the door closes. Now I imagine she has some equalivalent activity she might enjoy online that isn't illegal but probably would be frowned upon by the boss.

Not to mention if Kathy is not salaried, she's still going to earn 1.75 hour's worth of pay that Raymond may not. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp. | |

I'll be the odd man out and say that if Kathy and Raymond's division of labor is such that one's absence results in an increased and uncompensated burden on the other -- and certainly if this sort of thing regularly happens -- I can see why she'd be pissed.

Raymond being out of the office does NOT effect Kathy. Two totally separate job duties. It does not happen regularly, Raymond commented the next day it's probably been a few years since he gave the boss a ride anywhere.

Maybe she wanted to give the boss a lift home - get jiggy with him and get a raise - who knows - silly cow - "I may not agree with what you say but I'll fight for your right to say it"

I agree with this more than the "everyone would feel like Kathy" line of thinking. I get annoyed when people feel like nobody should benefit if they don't as well. | |
