I hate talking on the phone. I usually don't answer my cell phone or my work phone. Nine times out of ten, when I do answer the phone at my job, the call is not for me so now I just don't answer it. Half the time the voicemails the dumbasses leave aren't for me either. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

look, it's simple. alls you have to do is pick up the receiver and scream into it "WHADDAYA WANT!" i guarantee they won't be bothering you again

I like it, and/or it doesn't bother me. I'll answer, but I hardly call.

Not a big phone talker. I have a knack for ignoring phone calls when I don't feel like being bothered. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

There is only one person that I can talk for a long time on the phone with, but with most people i'm on it for 2 min max, and don't have much to say.

It's funny because I love ringtones and I download them all day..I switch ringtones almost everyday... so when someone calls I'm glad they do so I can hear my awesome new tone..but I still don't answer
sn: Someone hung up on me last night
If I answer the phone for you, and you hang up on me you can bet your bottom dollar you'll never hear my lovely voice over the phone again!!!!! She Don't Speak..But She Remembers

No, not a big phone person. I have caller ID, so I can screen my calls very effectively. If I have something important to tell or need information quickly, I will call, but just to chit chat, I only do that with my mom every other week. I had a friend who lost her mother and missed talking to her on the phone 5 times a day. She thought I was nuts because I didn't talk to my mom like that. I mean, I love my mother dearly, but I don't have to talk to her every day.

I love my mother, but it's nooo way I could talk to her everyday. We talk on the phone maybe once a week.. I talk to my sister everyday though and she only lives around the corner She Don't Speak..But She Remembers

Not at all! I enjoy talking on the phone for a few hours if it is someone I haven't spoken to in a long time because we actually have something interesting to talk about and have things to catch up on. But to talk on the phone just to be doing something is not for me. I used to have a friend that would call me every night and he wouldn't have anything to say. There would be times that a few minutes would go by of just complete silence. He would be watching TV and call me and find out I was watching the same show so he would just sit there and, I guess, want to watch the show together on the phone together. I got to where I used to let my answering machine pick up every time he called until enough time would go by that he would actually have something to talk about. When he died, then I felt lonely because my phone never rang.
I've never had a cell phone in my life and don't want one. With me just having a home phone, I can always let the answering machine pick up when I don't want to be bothered and if someone asks, I simply "wasn't home". With a cell phone, I would have no excuse to give them because cell phones go wherever you go and they would want to know why I didn't answer their call. Andy is a four letter word.

I'm afraid of talking on the phone.
This was nice to see so many other people abhor it as well. I always thought I was beyond crazy for this phobia since everyone around me seems to be so chatty. My heart rate definitely increases when my phone buzzes. Unless it's urgent, I'll exhaust all of my other resources (text, IM, FB, twitter) first before picking up a phone to communicate with someone.
Kinda strange, kinda awesome.
