I was born with a dark line of demarkation along my legs, the pubic line, and upper arms ...and my vulva is very dark considering my olive complexion. Its like I have a line that divides me in the center of my belly and another that separates my front from my back.

Because of the darknes of my skin in my nether regions, I've been made to feel bad by white female doctors I've had in the past, so now I only allow gynecologists that are non-white and male to examine me.

Fuck those fucking doctors.

mad

actually... my current gyne has big gentle hands... he gives a great pelvic. I love male doctors. redface

eek A tiny bit TMI. Just a little, though. lol I only have a general practitioner, but I prefer a female doctor, too. Most of my guy friends are like, "but what if you have to talk to her about, ya know, guy stuff?!" Which I don't understand at all. They all learned the same things at med school.

I guess I wouldn't mind an ugly female doc...but if she was smokin' hot, it would get really embarrassing when the hernia test came around.

Not a genetic anomaly but yesterday I found out that I'm not a social drinker.

Went with a friend for lunch and she convinced me to have a beer as well, but after drinking it in that environment, at noon, I started getting very quiet. zipped

At least you did not vomit in your own glass. Stick with water and lemon.

Blood flow races towards your penis... causing a lack of oxygen to your eyes, causing them to get red, which can make them seem a different color because the cornea is up against a different color, so do you get a lighter eye effect?

Hazel or very light brown eyes have that effect... my eyes are light brown or what I call "amber colored".

But this is just my theory...

yeah mine get a really light brown I guess. I guess I am on light-medium brown as is and they venture toward amber probably. So I am told. Somedays, I think my eyes do look lighter than others. I usually chalk it up to lighting.

The doctor's office called and said my blood work looked good. I'm going to see him later this morning but they did tell me my total cholesterol level was 85.

That's abnormally low, but it's also the highest I can remember. It's been as low as 68, and was in the low-to-mid 70's for most of the last 20 years.

hmm ...is there any drawback to having abnormally-low cholesterol?

I have a genetic predisposition to HIGH cholesterol. It's over 200 and that's my "normal". My mom has it, as do ALL THREE OF MY KIDS.

The doc wants me to start taking pills, but I'm wary of starting that just yet. boxed

nod

Your body needs cholesterol.

If you had none, all your cells would disintegrate and you'd die.

It's what you make it.

don't they measure 2 kinds of cholesterol? or have 2 numbers? like good and bad?

The master got told his good one was too low and to remedy that, he should drink a glass of wine every evening.

At my last checkup the doc told me that my even though my cholesterol was high, my "good" cholesterol was the higher percentage of the total.

I'm so sleepy. I just read that as "should drink a glass of wine every morning" and thought I wanted to switch doctors.
