I'm a training consultant so I design training programs for corporations. Most of my clients are all over the world or at the least outside of the state so I can work remotely. It also allows me to travel a lot cuz I can work anywhere if I take my laptop. The ONLY downside is that I have put the biggest permanent dent on one side of my mattress. lol

Ace, if you never leave your home, you should look for a top-of-the-line condo in a MUCH less expensive city! You'd be just as cozy, but you'd save a bundle. smile

Because it's good to be seen.

I've been very lucky and live in a really nice condo. I'd be fine in a very simple apartment, though; I don't need anything fancy.

Even though I don't go out much, I love this city and - especially - my neighbourhood, so I don't foresee a move.

I hope you at least get out to check out the girls on Queen Street! I may not be in the market -- on several levels giggle -- but Toronto has got to have some of the most beautiful women on the planet. love

For a lot of people it's sex. But since we're in agreement that the drama involved with reaching that point holds very little (if any) interest, staying home becomes much more enjoyable. There's reasons for me to go out (a lot, actually) but they're rarely "social" these days.

My fear now is falling in my house and not being able to get up and lying there for days or perhaps as long as weeks before someone notices I haven't been seen. I am known for wanting to be alone, so I guess I brought it on myself. Well, as long as I'm working, I'll be OK because if I don't show up without calling, they'll know something is terribly wrong and will send someone to check. But if I fall out on a Friday, my ass is grass until Monday! lol

When I was out of work, there were times when I didn't leave my house for weeks at a time. neutral

Hell, I hardly turn that thing on! I use it only for emergencies. I need to get one of those "Medic Alert" things. Be like that old broad on the commercial, "I'VE FALLEN AND I CAN'T GET UP!"

For serious, though. I'm already 60 and with this "fainting goat syndrome" my family suffers with...

Y'all think I'm bullshitin, but it's for real. We have what is called "myotonia congenita" which is a form of that disease that makes goats fall over stiff after being startled. Well, my mother, my brother and I have a form of that shit. No, we don't fall out when we're startled, but our muscles stiffen up in our legs and the balance can get kinda tricky. If we're not careful, we'll just toddle the fuck over!

Just don't bitch here if you find yourself too hot, cold, wet or far from a restroom. razz
