She hadn't spoken with anyone since before Halloween, so one of my other sisters went to check on her and found her dead in her bed. She may have passed away a week ago. She had some liver disease for some time and had been on a transplant list but was taken off of it earlier this year. She had a pretty rough life and had drug and alcohol issues but had been clean and sober for several years. When I last saw her over the summer she was feeling good, taking some medication for her condition, but apparently she became very ill about a month ago. I'm really going to miss her.

Thanks everyone for all of the heartfelt wishes. My younger sister is working on arrangements and is trying to find my older sister's will. I believe she wanted to be cremated, so I'm not sure when services will be. But I truly appreciate all of the kind words.

sometimes life can really suck. but i feel we are being "tested" for a reason, it makes us stronger.
