Is this really a problem if you're not flaunting what you've got? confuse And if you are, aren't you kind of inviting people to engage you in part for your wealth?

I bet they get worried/suspicious even if the woman is more plain-looking though. Not all gold diggers look like supermodels.

lmao ....an ugly gold-digger ! eek ...that is a myth my friend lol

an ugly female cant even get a broke man what makes you think she can get a rich one

[Edited 11/8/10 17:05pm]

I didn't say ugly, I said plain-looking, and they're definitely not a myth. I've seen them with my own eyes. They might not always be as successful as their better-looking friends but that doesn't make them any less gold diggers.

No, it can still be a problem even if you're not flaunting it. The gold digger women are very clever at figuring out your financial status through semi-inconspicuous questions, for example "where did you go on vacation last year?" or "what do you do for a living?" or even "where do you live?". It might even be enough that you wear a nicer-brand sweater for them to pick up enough of a scent of money to want to see where it leads. I've seen it happen with well off friends who definitely aren't the typical brash, flaunting-it types of guys.

I mentioned my banker friend in an earlier post. His gold digger girlfriend went after him since he'd gone straight from work to a bar and therefore was wearing a sharp suit, so that was a no-brainer. But even if he'd been dressed down she would have found out what his financial status was through a simple "so, what do you do?".

In that case, when rich men are concerned about gold diggers finding out their professions, the man should not tell them or straight up lie. Instead of saying that he's a banker, he could tell a little white lie and tell them that he's a loan officer or something. If he's interested, he can pursue the woman. If she gets all shitty because she perceives him as being broke, then he knows what he's dealing with. If she's sincerely interested and hasn't really found out his true occupation, then he's maybe got something there.

Men with outrageous amounts of money, like the old geeser Anna Nicole nabbed, probably can continue to trade in older models every few years. There will always be enought of these types bimbos to go around.

Well he'd have to lie about a whole bunch of things then, like where he lives, what car he drives, what some of his more expensive hobbeys are etc. But sure, he could do that. I'm merely saying that it probably doesn't feel like a great start to be forced to lie to someone you're interested in. A luxury problem of course, but a problem nonetheless.

This is interesting. I was married pretty young, and my wife and I built what we have pretty much together. So there never was a time I was, on the one hand, trying to find a mate, but, on the other hand, trying to safeguard my material riches against a potential parasite. Must be a headache.

It's another reason I imagine that whole adult dating game must be a nightmare.

No, it's not a great start to base a relationship on a lie, but this is the "interview' process, if you will. I mean if he is serious about NOT attracting gold diggers, then a little modesty or a having a great judge of character is in order.

Oh jeez.

My bf was saying the other day that the courts should put a limit an age limit on marriages like Anna Nicole Smiths.

Well without opening the whole can of worms that could be opened about how wrong that statement is, lemme just say, If your being gold dug you know it damn well, and if your allowing it, then oh well. Its a trade, sex with a good looking younger woman for money. Why you gonna blame the golddigger, Do you think she wants to fuck your old ass. Or if you can't get it up anymore, shake her tits in your toothless face. NO. It s a fair trade,

I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
Whats it all worth only the heart can measure
It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside
