I got engaged!!!!!!!

I just can't believe how much things have turned around in the last year.

Of all the things I thought I would be doing with my life in the next 5 yrs, getting married and having a baby was not one of them!!!!

It is a good thing though, and I'm stoked about it.

I just have no clue about how to go about it though. I'm not really into big traditional weddings, and I wanna atleast wait until after the baby is born. I want the kids to be a part of it, and then ofcourse money is also an issue.

Any ideas.

I’ve actually been watching wedding shows and looking at wedding websites lately cause I think I’m going to have to start planning myself, sooner or later.

I definitely want to get married and I like the idea of some kind of party to celebrate it but I just don’t love the idea of a “wedding” and all that entails. I can’t imagine spending the amount of money folks spend on that kinda thing.

If I have my way I’ll end up eloping.

I want to go away to get married, and then have a party when we come back, but that would get expensive, because I'd like all the kids to be there, and the parents, and I can hardly ask my mom and his family to shell out 4 grande to go off to some island with us.

I have to say though, I'm way more excited to get married, this time around. My first time I didn't a reception or anyone at the church, I was kind of dreading it. I want it to be special this time.

ours was under 2k, and that included a week around Tassie...

we got married in the botanical gardens, and had our reception at the pub where my husband worked (and we lived).

16 yrs ago though ...probably cost about 10k now
