Bon Jovi are a real band? I thought they were a comedy act. Man, this changes everything.

You're right, first impressions are a bitch.

I've steered off folk who've rejected my trying to be nice because I thought them (perhaps wrongly) stand-offish and stuck up.

I thinks there's crossed and mixed signals and mis-interpreted intentions all over the damn place. sigh

People have gotten so confrontational. ANYTHING can be taken as an insult. Honestly, I'm not spending the time in my day thinking of how I can insult the next person I come into contact with. I'm also not spending time in my day thinking about EXACTLY what I need to say to the next person I come into contact with that will not insult their delicate constitution.

When I come to work in the morning I have a list of 50 patients, mostly women (and a man here or there on occasion) that I will come into contact with. I will be in their holy presence for, hopefully about 10-15 minutes minimum, 2 hours maximum. I want them to be as comfortable as they can be, but frankly, I'm not going to spend a lot of time making sure the experience is EXACTLY what THEY think it should be. I'm friendly, efficient and professional, if that somehow rubs someone the wrong way, too damn bad.

To be bugged or insulted by someone who called you "Hon" in the spance of a minute interaction? Pishaw...to each their own of course, but seriously, I'm more insulted by the person who is outright rude.

boxed rant over....sorry.

Well...okay then lol

When people call you, you answer and say hello and they say "listen!". Well, duh, I answered the phone and said hello, obviously I am fucking listening!

pissed

I had a friend in high school who used to say that when she was talking to you. Bugged me to no end! disbelief

Another thing I hate is when you answer the phone, and the person on the other end says, "Who is this?" That annoys me to no end! mad I remember my aunt said that to me once when I answered the phone. I said in return, "Well, who is THIS?" lol If you want to know who answered the phone, they should at least have the decency to identify themselves before saying, "Who is this" to the other person. People saying, "Who is this" when you answer the phone is, in my honest opinion, just rude and unnecessary.

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Fucking hate that saying. I don't even know what it means. confused

I think that's a carribean thing. My ex used to say that and the tone in which he said it gave me the impression that it was something you said to avoid saying "Jesus Christ" in vain. I never really asked him what it meant I just assumed it was some colloquialism he got from his dad since he said it too.

I think you're right about that. This one time, at a place I used to work at, one of my bosses was using the copy machine, which was close to my desk. Something went wrong with what he was trying to do, because I heard him holler out, "OH CHEESE AND RICE!" The girl who sat directly behind me and I were busting up laughing, but doing it quietly, so that he did not hear us. lol

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Another word I hate when people use is "basically". It basically drives me crazy, because, basically, people use it, basically, all the time. lol It's as bad as when people say, "You know", "Umm", etc.

typed the sentence using the word basically alot because someone probably will if I don't. lol

Some of the crap that comes out of my own mouth I can't believe I say it. hmph!

What peeves me are people who make themselves out to be victims when they can fully help themselves. They say they wanna do something...but they do nothing about it. Or if they do something, and a stumbling block comes up, they quit. That annoys me. It's called persistence. Really.... disbelief

Words that irritate me come and go but the most consistent one is, "You know that thing? You know? Yea, that thing? You know? You know?"

I'm like, "No I don't know... because I don't even know what the hell you're talking about..."

I'm getting fired up just thinking about it.. LMAO! It pisses me off so much.
