It's a kinda tragi-situation comedy, that certain types of girls like to watch and pretend to themselves that it's real. And the female protagonists are all dumb.

oh, OK. shrug

so, it goes both ways then?

Generally, I think men and women are hardwired into certain attitudes that may either cultural/habitual or instinctual. Men are hard on women for meeting certain expectations of beauty, and I'm sure all of us judge each other all the time on it.

But I think specifically, we live more in a time where the factors of how women and men choose their mates are up to the individual and what their specific needs and wants are. So in other words, if a woman wants a man thats the expected standard male personality that women should be attracted to, don't worry, there are women out there that prefer other types of men and don't stick to the stereotypes.

At this point in history, we have a choice to make
To either, walk the path of love, or be crippled by our hate

it's simple

women can say all the sexist things they want

and get away with it

because nobody really gives a fuck about

what a woman has to say

biggrin

How is it you feel?

I've often thought when women were being "sexist" they were trying to be funny or cute but when men were being "sexist" they were intentionally being mysogynistic and dismissive. It doesn't appear to me that on a grand scale women find men to be inferior but the reverse seems true; on a grand scale men appear to view women as inferior. Perceptions of inferiority are where a lot of these "isms" are born.

For the purpose of this thread though, it seems we are examining the way men and women banter with each other as opposed to examples of sexism that actually impact people's lives in every aspect from the classroom to the workplace.

(Disclaimer: That said, I don't think women are bitches. Not all. Some definitely are. I don't think I've come across any bitches on this site.)

Fuck the kitchen...take her hot little ass to the bedroom.

I can burn my own eggs and toast, thank you very much!

I'm going out on a limb here, but my personal thought on this is that;

Women are traditionally the "weaker sex" and have no real power over men. Yes, I realize this is one big ball of stereotypical momb-jumbo, but basically that's the prevailing mindset of most societies.

So, for a woman to be "sexist" against a man is seen as harmless because they lack real power. Whereas a man has all the cards in his favor and is more capable of shrugging it off.

That's just my 2¢

Yeah...until you get tired of their ass and are caught in a catch 22.

If you leave they take half.

If you cheat, they find out...then leave you and take half.

Just ask Tiger Woods.

A fucking nanny and she deserves $100 million????

Sorry, but I never saw her swing one fucking club or make one commercial!

I know! Divorce is such a hard concept for a man to understand, so much easier to lie, cheat, and pray not to get caught instead. Let me not even discuss fidelity, as I can see poor lil men brains exploding everywhere.....Or even the novel idea of keeping one's promiscuous ass single, which means all the hoes you can have plus you keep your hard-earned money.

Even Tiger had to man up and pay up afyer this simple lil review of his options.

Now really the better question is....did his wife and children deserve those lies?

Really?!?

Yet it's okay for Britney Spears to pay out tons of money to Kevin Federline and lose her kids and she didn't even cheat on him..... :hmm2:

y'all confusing sexism with wealthism anyway.

Tiger could have divorce her, paid his lil chump change per prenup, and kept it moving. Instead he pulled a bitch move and lost half his wheat check. Oh well, not feeling sorry for a dumbass.

There are many wealthy women paying alimony to men so your argument is invalid. Plus men set this world up to keep wealth from women, so forgive us when we get ours.

I see what you mean. Similar arguments are made about race.

However.

Women get to have it both ways. Be independent and make their own way, but many would still love for a man with the means to support them both to make her not have to be independent.

So many times, I've had conversations with girls and I go "You like so and so? That dude is fucking gross."

Only to hear "But he got money..."

Meanwhile, it sounds trifling and pathetic for a man to say, "yeah, I know there's nothing attractive about Rosie O'Donell, but she got money..."

It's just as trifling and pathetic to hear a woman say it.

I understand that men have been given conflicting information. We can do anything you can do. We don't need you. We're equal. While at the same time we're kicking you in the ass for not opening doors for us, etc.

Here's the thing. Just because we can do it, doesn't mean we want to. I have a fabulous career that pays me handsomely. I can provide much better than a lot of the men I meet. But yes, I would love to not have to. I would love to get married and be a housewife, stay at home mom, the whole shabang. I have very traditional sensibilities when it comes to relationships. So yes, while I'm single, I can and will do all those things for myself but it doesn't mean I always will or that I want to.

You mean the woman caught driving with her infant in her lap in the front seat with no safety belt at that?

Yeah it's okay for her to lose custody of her kids.

well shame on you. please try to develop some appreciation for gender discrimination, domestic murders, rapes, beatings and sub-standard job opportunities you get to enjoy due to your lack of a penis. please try to learn that, although all men do come from a woman's womb, women are merely vessels for man's seed and should never act but to obey, bow down, and kiss said men on the ass. after all, we've never heard of examples of men who abuse their wives, cheat, beat and kill them, their children, and familes.

so please, correct your attitude. neutral

I wouldn't!!! hmph!

All that whoring and public embarassment. Please. Elin is damn lucky she didn't catch a disease behind Tiger's nasty ass. The mere fact that she has to put up with his ass until her children reach legal age is worth $100 mill alone. She has my sympathy.
