TB over TEX NYY over Minn NYY over TB in ALCS PHI over CIN SF over ATL PHI over SF in NLCS I think we'll see a 09 WS rematch, with the Yankees just edging the Phillies, but it'll be a dogfight because of Halladay/Oswalt & Hamels, they're a tough 3-man top of rotation...but the Yanks will find a way to edge them. If U came 2 get your 'Purple Rain' on...U'RE IN THE WRONG HOUSE!!!!!!

All I know is that Minaya and Manuel are gone!

As much as I'd hate to admit it, you're probably right. Would love to see the Twins finally get out of the first round tho....

I have to agree. I would love to see the Twins advance to the WS but going against the Yankees, we don't stand a chance....but I aint giving up yet. The Twins might shock some people. Go Giants!
Since the last strike I pretty much ignore baseball until the post season, so I have NO IDEA who is on our team. But I'm hoping we do well.

I will be surprised if the Phillies don't steamroll their way straight to the WS.
The AL winner isn't so clear. None of the teams finished strong (particularly NY and Minnesota) so anyone could win. Conspiracy theorists will say that NY purposely lost their division so they could face the Twins again in the first round as the wild card and let the Rays take on Texas and Cliff Lee who owns the Yanks.

Yankees aren't a lock this year. After CC, there are serious questions about their pitching. The big one is, what will they get from Petite?

choclate have u ever thought that now the mets have the ghost of willie on their hands cause still burns me the way the mets did randolph and minaya and manuel stabbed him ..but now i heard that the brewers fired their manager ..who knows if willie will be promoted 2 run them now
but back 2 the thread ...it's either gonna be my yanks or my twins in the series ..probably phils or braves from the NL ...but either my yanks or twins will do it!!! man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

so imagine a fan like me that loves both the yanks and the twins and constantly having them meet in the 1st round ..damn i would love it if they met for the championship and the winner goes in the series man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Wow. That does suck. Well, just kick back and enjoy a good game..I hope. I pray that the Twins can give the Yankees a run for their money. “When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a Communist.” Brazilian bishop Dom Hélder Câmara

Sox may have blown the postseason but hey, they still knocked the Yankees into the wild card! [Edited 10/6/10 9:02am]

So the Yanks could face the Twins instead of Cliff Lee who owns them. Sox did the Yanks a big favor there. THANKS!

yeah and it was the yanks that knocked the whiney sox out of the playoffs totally!! so they come up with sympathy talk of francona being manager of the year cause he managed a team that had players with injuries ..like he's the only manager that does this? pluhleeze ...another season without boston in the playoffs is wonderful news to me tho!! time 2 work on the next 86 years of crying the blues and pointing fingers at the world champs man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

First palyoff game is over:
ALDS Game 1: TEX 5, TB 1 W: Cliff Lee (1-0, 1.29 ERA) L: David Price (0-1, 5.40 ERA)
The Rays getting shut down like that is no surprise, it's Cliff Lee. He made the Yanks look stupid last year, catching pop-ups one-handed and stuff.
