I finished my 12 painting commission and started on a "dirty" painting.

I just wrote that paper and submitted it 30 minutes late.

I suck at college. I don't know why I even try, I don't have the ambition or dedication for it. If I wasn't being paid to go, I wouldn't be going.

This morning I made a carrot cake with my son while we listened to some CD's that belonged to my Grandad. It was a lovely morning.

After dropping said son at Nursery this afternoon, I went to the Library and borrowed some books. Now i'm trying to decide which one to read first.

Voted about an hour ago. Seemed fairly active (not packed) considering the time of day and neighborhood. About a line of 10 to vote touch screen when I was there and there were folk also doing paper ballots. But a steady flow.

And yes, it's a school and there was a bake sale.

Thank you. It's going to be major - five to seven days in the hospital, and another four to six weeks of convalescence.

And the timing couldn't be worse - with the holidays and me being in a play that opens January 13.

I don't know how this always happens. That last time he had surgery, was 13 years ago...in December...and I had tickets to Prince (Jam of the Year) the night after his surgery.

Bless his heart - he made me go to the concert.
