I use and love OPERA!

It's easy fast and has everything you want without the need to install 100 special plug-ins

I've tried all the different browsers over the years, even have 3 or 4 currently installed on my computer. But I consistently only use FIREFOX. In my opinion, Firefox is the best of the bunch.

I swear by Safari. I use it on both PC and Mac. Chrome is a little faster and Firefox is a little slower on my Mac, but Safari never crashes. I'm also used to grabbing everything you're not supposed to from Safari's Activity menu.

So I recommend Netscape.

Since Linux Mint is my OS, my primary browser is Firefox.

My secondary browser is Chromium (which Google's own Chrome is based on). Speed-wise, it's a step faster than Firefox. But the add-ons/extentions for Firefox are way better than the ones for Chromium.

Never had a problem with Safari, though it seemed like it was probably better suited for Mac, and I'm primarily a PC user. I like the concept behind Chrome, but I seem to remember the interface was just a little "flat" for me. Hadn't even thought of Netscape in about a decade, but I used to be a big fan of their Communicator. Prior to 1998, before they merged with AOHell, I used to swear by it.

As far as grabbing stuff you're not supposed to; I use a Firebug addon to Firefox for that. It allows me to break down any website or page down to it's smallest parts, allowing me to grab all that goody-good stuff that javascripts and clever coding think they've got locked down, lol.

Ironically, I hardly ever use Internet Explorer. Probably the only reason I even keep it around is because it's necessary for Windows to run properly.

I was kidding about Netscape. Do they still make a browser? My dad would still be using AOL if he had a choice.

I stay away from Firefox like the plague if I can help it. It seems there's always some new hole in their security ala Internet Explorer which generally only effects PCs. I know people love it because of all the open source add-ons, but I've never really needed them. I tend to use stand-alone apps instead for what Firefox add-ons do.

Everyone has their favorites, depending on what works best for them, so the OP should really just try them all and un-install the ones that don't cut the mustard.

On PCs, I've always disabled everything about Internet Explorer except the OS-necessary bare-bones software update bits.

I only use Firefox - not sure if it is the best though.
