A young man born into privilege gives up society for the Alaskan wilderness

Paints a much more sympathetic portrait of the main character, who in the book comes across as naive and unprepared, maybe even stupid.

Direction is good, characters fairly moving, and because it is Sean Penn, definitely dramatic. Who would have thought I'd so enjoy Hal Holbrook and Kristin Stewart in the same movie?!

Not quite able to take this seriously, and not quite fanciful enough to take purely as allegory. Have to remove a star for casting JT (who actually is not that bad) But c'mon...

I never knew that was her in that movie, I still think her best role was as the frozen sister in Zathura. I especially loved the clanging sound she made as she bounced down the stairs

Justin is the best part of that movie. He's a fine actor indeed.

There is a scene in that movie that is hilarious for a very personal reason, but other than that...it sucked.

No, I posted pics of the best part of the movie.

Justin is best in a supporting role like this. His narration of Southland Tales was too much for me.

woah there... Timberlake is a much more respectable actor than he is a musician or performer... it's all coming out now, especially with "The Social Network".

The American. 3/5

Existensial movie about a contract killer who wants to retire. Clooney gives great pathos. Corbijn great cinematography. And the frequently nude Violante Placido is as hot as hell. But apart from all these fantastic visuals, the film lacks true depth and any clear meaning or journey for any of it's one-dimensional characters. Predictably comfortable.

Prince M&M people are as mad as a bag of sparrows. Fact.

I cringed the whole time I watched that film. My sister being a Sandra fan, I had to indulge her in silence,,,,,,one thing for sure, I've learned my lesson.

Uh, yeah... I think I understand where you're coming from. lol I dig Sandra, so I decided to suspend all context (which, as I recall, took a beer or two), and just let a feel-good flick be a feel-good flick.

I like Sandra too, the accent didn't bother me and even though she did a great job, and don't shoot me for saying this, I really didn't think that her role was Oscar worthy. Sorry, but I just thought it was average, not anything out of the ordinary. Just sayin'.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It's not something you need to rush and see, trust me. Only on those days when you are bored out of your mind should you think to watch it.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Loved this one, too! The second comic book mini-series is being published right now and it's great! I'm really hoping for a sequel to the first movie.
