I love this. Tennesse Williams is my absolute favorite writer.

I love this. Tennesse Williams is my absolute favorite writer.

I saw a snippet of it years ago in the Indie Sex documentary so when it aired recently on Turner Classic Movies, I recorded it. I think all the black folks were real locals. It was fun.

I remember watching that documentary on tv. It was in like 4 segments right? There were a lot of films mentioned in it that I wanted to see, but I lost my list.

I just got home from a special screening of For Colored Girls, and I really can't even figure out quite how I felt about this... I mean, it's definitely sad and I left the theater feeling emotionally drained, but still kind of empty like something was missing.

It's really got some heavy moments though. Every bad thing that could happen to a woman happens in this film I think.

My friend and I saw the first one and thought it was hilariously bad - we re-named it 'Norman' after what we think the demon was named. So we went to see 'Norman 2' tonight for a giggle.

It was exactly the same as the first one. neutral

I'll have a hard time letting go of my prejudice against the movie version(even though I'm smitten with the ensemble) because of this TV version from 1982...

The images of Lynn Whitfield, Alfre Woodard and Trazana Beverley are deeply ingrained in my mind and heart, it will be hard to associate the movie's actresses with the same roles the aforementioned ladies played.

That being said, Shange was quite pleased with the movie so I'm guessing TP outdid himself here.

Beautiful and heartbreaking. My first experience watching an Ingmar Bergman movie, Rayan adviced me to check his Cries & Whispers next, and I will.

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest (2010) - Clandestine group arranges to have super hacker committed to an institution to ensure their survival. Reviews were mixed claiming it was too much of drawn out courtroom drama, but I found it exciting nonetheless. star star star star

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

This movie was fabulous! Rose McGowan looked hot the whole time, it was gory, shocking, fun, ridiculous and funny.

unfortunately the distributor has mismarketed this film... making it seem much more mainstream then it really is. I haven't checked the website, but the trailer is misleading, and makes a lot of people disappointed when they see it.

I confess my interest in seeing this movie derived totally from hearing Kate Bush's song since I was never a fan of the book. redface

I picked up Marie Antoinette on dvd last night, and though I guess it didn't get rave reviews, I liked it! It was like a visual delight with all the colors and whatnot, plus the the soundtrack is pretty sweet.

Why does there have to be a soundcheck? I don't have a songcheck. You don't have a clothescheck.
