A classic. You're a Blair Witch fan. Did you notice the prodution company was called Haxan Films, in honor of this flick?

[Edited 11/1/10 7:41am]

Haha, no I didn't! I almost watched The Blair Witch Project this weekend too. Next Halloween I'll watch more recent horror films.

Hereafter: 1 star. disbelief

Why did you give it one star?

What discouraged me to watch Hereafter is that Matt Damon is going for the Van Praag look with those flourescent blue contact lenses.

In theaters...

Let Me In

...Saw this on Halloween. The original is better, and the computer animation for the 'attack scenes' is cheesey, but overall the film wasn't bad --> C+

RED

...ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE (glad I didn't have to pay to see this. Got a free promo tiket, and I still felt cheated) -->F+

Catfish

...Cool little documentary. Doesn't hurt that the main guy is a major babe.. I was so surprised to know that it was real. Makes meeting 'friends' online seem a little creepier...just kidding smile --> B

.

Oh, forgot I saw

It's Kind of a Funny Story too..

Cute, quirky, a touch too sweet sometimes. Definitely won't rank among my favorite "Mental institution films" but it was ok --> C+

Disapointing...billed at a twisty turby thriller but anything but...I literally had the movie figured out in under 2 minutes and my suspciobs were confirmed inside 5.

Sherlock Holmes

I did not love it, and at times I found RDJ a little difficult to understand, and thought (as much as I like RDJ) that maybe casting an actual Brit in the role might have been a good idea. But Guy Ritchie is stylish and I would definintely watch this again to see if my opinon of it improves. I initially would give it star star star and 1/2 out of 5

Some of the darker shots didn't transfer so well I think. But overall it looks great on blu-ray.

that particular case was 1993 - he was doing exorcisms long before that, and I was in school up until 1988.

Enter the Void.

Gaspar Noe is a very original director. I saw his previous film Irreverisble and was both haunted and mesmerised by his style and vision. He pulls no punches and shows you life how he sees it, for all it's brutality and beauty. This movie starts where that one left off. He doesn't care for usual cinematic conventions or censorship, so this is not for the feint-hearted or those that like their films with a usual Hollywood structure and content. It's long, indulgent, and at times very shocking. His orignality and style is influenced by Kubrick and by focusing on the imagery, sometimes to the detriment of plot like Kubrick, also risks ultimately failing on keeping most of his audience hooked throughout. But a must for anyone interested in filmakers who push the boundaries and dare to innovate. 4/5.

Okay, granted I can be a little put off by comedies sometimes, this WAS NOT FUNNY at all... no wait, there was one scene that made me and my friend I went with both laugh, but it was a stunt that I think was supposed to look cool, but came off cheesey as hell disbelief

half a star for the 2 or 3 times I laughed aloud.

it was a good drinking movie. If you try and keep up with the characters, you can be totally hammered by the end of it nod
