I recently went to a vintage fabric bizarre and bought a vintage raccoon fur stole for $15! I would never buy new, and I look at this as recycling in a way.

But I haven't worn it yet because I am feeling kinda shitty about it...even though I just love it. I really wish it was faux-fur.

So if you're an anti-fur person is wearing recycled fur just as gross?

I think it is up to you, but in my opinion wearing fur indicates support for wearing fur in general.

Nobody knows it's recycled except you, so if you feel okay and don't care what others say, and don't feel gross in fur (I wear leather so I can't really judge you) then go ahead.

But I would not wear a Nazi uniform just to save cotton.

Yes, I agree...wearing it does make me look like I support the fur trade...but I do love the look of faux-fur. I had been looking for a faux-fur one for a while to dress up fall jackets, but all I can find is the real deal.

We used to buy used fur for the orphaned babies at the wildlife center to cuddle in. I tried to convince myself it was like that...but it's obviously not.
