I used to do the same thing! It was fun to see how many of each candy I got. I remember once or twice, there was a couple down the street from where I lived. They used to give out pencils on Halloween, instead of candy. As a young kid, I didn't like that too well. I wanted candy - to hell with pencils!

Just two years ago, I didn't have any candy in the house, but I felt benevolent that Halloween; however, I wasn't going out to buy candy. I had a case of microwave popcorn (from Costco) and a case of bottled water (from Costco). I gave the kids a choice, a bottle of water or a bag of microwave popcorn. Those kids were on that water like white on rice!

I just grunted and finished my milk.

I got what I would want to get as a kid.

Last year I got a ton of kids and ran out of candy. This year I probably won't get any and eat myself into a diabetic coma.
