I only drink a couple/few times a year, and rarely when I go out (I'm happily the DD). Thankfully the beers I like tend to get better if you just leave them alone in the fridge, so that's usually what I do. More often than not a friend will get to them before I do. Still, a strong ale is what I prefer if I'm gonna get my drink on.

Oh absoLUTEly! lol I just said as much in a thread a couple days ago. A six pack of beer would knock me on my ass and probably make me puke. There was a time in the early-mid 90 during the micro brew boom when I'd drink different beers all night. But I haven't had a serious drunk in over a decade. I don't enjoy the loss of control at all. I'd rather drink coffee and/or smoke some herb. Not judging, though, that's why I do the DD bit.

I’m pretty much done with liquor for the time being. It’s not as tasty to me as it used to be and it gets me into trouble. lol

So these days I usually enjoy a nice glass of wine. In reds I prefer fruity to oaky and tend to go for a nice shiraz/syrah, a pinot noir or often some kind of drinkable blend. In whites I like sweeter, but only for one glass. Riesling or gewürztraminer are my faves, but I can do a pinot grigio as well.

I also love champagne and champagne cocktails – like a nice kir royale – and if I’m in a place that serves them you can bet that’s what I’ll order.

My bf likes beer and I can drink one or two now and again, (in the right atmosphere and/or with the right meal) but I’m very, very picky about it. There’s a local brewing company called Surly that I like a lot. Bell’s Two Hearted is nice as well and I think Cerebus mentioned La Gunitas above. I cannot and will not drink cheap American beer like Budweiser, Miller, Michelob or what have you. It’s awful.
