Chicago - Boystown - Halloween ...Cheap Motels!?!?

Does anyone have any good motels to stay in for Chicago during Halloween? We want to hit up boystown. Planning on coming there this Friday to Monday..

Any good suggestions?

when we head there for meetups, we usually stay at

Days Inn Chicago http://www.daysinnchicago.net on West Diversey Parkway (very nice, great staff, not expensive).

Once I stayed at The Inn @ Lincoln Park http://www.innlp.com about a block away on W Diversey Pkwy (small, also not expensive - but prob b/c the place is ancient.. lol .. if you're not gonna spend much time in the room...) for just a nite or two b/c Days Inn was full when I first was due into town

great restaurants & shopping nearby, too

** do not ever stay at the Ramada Inn on South Lake Shore Drive

filthy, smelly elevators, spiders in my room.. and housekeeping went in my room even though I had the Do Not Disturb sign on door while I was out (family funeral) and took money I had left on the bed (less than $10, but still..).. and moved receipts with my CC # printed on them to the desk (they were all accounted for, but could have been copied, so I had to cancel everything while out of town) The staff was not helpful at all....

The Days Inn on Diversey is closeby but I love the W Lakeshore.

City Suites (across from Berlin on West Belmont Avenue) is very nice -- but pricey (IMHO)

and the elevator is not for ppl who are claustrophobic... lol

I have yet to see a smaller elevator! lol wink

NONSENSE

I always enjoy my stay at either of the Embassy Suites. Not dirt cheap but certainly worth it considering the happy hour, full breakfast, and location.

However, if you want to stay downtown dirt cheap I've heard the Red Roof Inn Downtown Magnificent Mile is clean, decent, affordable and has a great location. cool
