The issue of no cell signals is not valid. Anyone that can make a time machine could very well make a device that could be used to wireless communicate across long distances.

Yeah to get in costume for the times and then walk around with your ray gun in plain view makes no sense.

I don't know what she's doing, but I don't immediately jump to the least likely conclusion based on one second of film
