A custard pie made with buttermilk, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, vanilla and nutmeg.

I didn't have any more foil pie pans, so I put my homemade crust in a square cake pan, pressed the crust up the sides and baked the buttermilk pie deep-dish style. Baked it, cooled it and topped it with blueberry pie filling - kind of like a fruit-topped cheesecake.

I wanna eat your creamy pie. lick

Damn right you do.

Steak (angus rump) pan seared in a tablespoon of olive oil with mushrooms, asparagus tips, orange and yellow bell pepper and a huge yellow onion (it comes out tender and the fat is perfectly blackened that way), steamed jasmine rice (in plantain leaf) and Rican style beans(made with my own sofrito and homemade achiote), fresh avocado

Homemade flan for dessert

I am doing it Riccan style... the steak was unfrozen and first cut staight from the butcher drooling

I just put a Moroccan chicken stew in the slow cooker: chicken breast, onions, garlic, carrots, ginger, cauliflower, turmeric, cinnamon, cayenne, cumin, homemade chicken stock and a little brown sugar.

Every time I have a counter meal I get grilled fish of the day with vegies and salad, and last night was broccoli and cauliflower with a tiny bit of red cabbage.

The fish was barramundi drool

The master had some shit dinner of crumbed calamari and french fries, and this AFTER we proclaimed we were going to eat much HEALTHIER.

All right, the stewed chicken was not universally loved at the JerseyMistress house.

BUT, I did make some hummus and flatbread from scratch, and they liked that.

And these apple dumplings, which are always a hit. Healthy, too. smile

That looks so good, I thought it was the chicken stew with the cauliflower! Those look like they could be rolled chicken breasts and the ice cream like cauliflower. Don't matter. I'd eat both dishes in a heartbeat. Punkie can tho down! lol thumbs up!
