It is time I came to terms with the fact That I am a H.U.G.E. scaredy-cat.
I am watching "The Lovely Bones" right now. It's later in the movie and very suspensenceful and I just want to fast forward through it.
I'm rather hopeless.

When I told a woman I work with that I was meeting a bunch of strangers in London, she told me I shouldn't go because it's could be really dangerous. She nagged and nagged..... Bless her.
I'm ok with horror films and walking alone in the dark and stuff. The one thing I cannot bring myself to do and which scares me shitless is going into the shed where all the spiders are. If one of my kids wants a scooter or something from the back of the shed, they have to wait until Daddy gets home. I will not go in there. |

you should have heard what my grandmas say! There hasn't been a bear sighting since 1923 (which she remembers vividly) but still she won't let me go into the forest on my own
Actually, anyone we tell when we say we are catching up with a bunch of friends "oh really, where did you meet them?" "um, well tonight will be the first time we all meet actually"

I've always been disturbed by sculptures larger than myself.
Especially large animatronics.
Swear to God, may I die if this is false: I went to Disneyworld for the second time when I was 21. On the fossil fuel dinosaur ride I remembered as a kid (which inexplicably had been changed to include Bill Nye and Ellen DeGeneres) I called myself being brave and calm when swamp dwelling brontosaur #2 rolled his head toward my face.
In retrospect, it's obvious the damn thing had a camera and a joystick in the hand of a sadist, whose ass I will stick gladly kick holes in.
Anyway, came within inches of my face and snorted water through the nose on top of it's head.
I couldn't even scream. I thought I might just have a coronary on the spot. Ever since that day, I say fuck Disney. |

Aww. I watched that movie twice this weekend. It was a bit scary at first, but it was mostly a sad movie for me. Personally, I hated how it ended. While things were "completed", there was at least one element I was expecting not to just be left as it was. So I wasn't THAT satisfied with the movie.
Honestly, movies these days just aren't scary anymore. They're watered down. The last time I was actually frigthened by one, I think it was a re-make of some movie. Feh. |
