Both pretty darned rude, but impatience wouldn't be tantamount to "assault" in a court of law; tripping might be. What he did was disproportionate, juvenile, dangerous and illegal.

I deal with with morons like that dumbass woman every day on the subway. Mfers act like your invisible and shit, trying to walk right thru you. He was halfway through, and she's pulling that shit - fuck her. He was wrong for touching her, but it's funny as hell.

I think HE was at fault. Clearly all of those turnstiles were for people coming in, not exiting. If that man had done that to me, I would have come up out of my fall with a clenched fist straight to his fuggin nuts! mad

She doesn't even look at him as she pushes herself trough. It's rude of him top do that, but maybe it will learn some people that they are not alone in this world. I hate those people!

What's the big deal? She obviously saved a few seconds forcing her way through that she can now use to pick herself up off the ground. She broke even.

Both of them, although he was clearly the bigger asshole. It worked out for him because she got back up, but if she'd fallen and fractured her skull then it's like 'was that really worth it'?

He did step back - like a gentleman. I think she prolly didn't say "Excuse me." or, "Thank you.", so he showed his appreciation for that. There is a way to do what she did and not get tripped.

It's asshole-ish of him to do it to a middle aged woman. I can't imagine he would have done it to another man, who'd take a swing or a hot young lady. So unneccessary, sometimes you should just let the little shit slide.

An elderly person. Another woman. A child. May have been flattened by the juggernaut. But the guy only tried and tripped her.

How is it suddenly ok for a man to get physically aggressive to a woman? Pushing, shoving, tripping; none of that is acceptable in my book. It's only in recent years that I've heard people start to laugh off or even advocate violence against women. They must be subscribing to a whole different set of values than mine.

The only time I've had to use physical force of any kind against a woman was one time when she was trying to slap me repeatedly, and then it was enough to just grab her wrist to stop it from happening.

When I'm on the subway, the only folks who get a break are pregnant women, children, the elderly and the handicapped. With everyone else, it's 'survival of the fittest'. smile

If a stranded pot whale like that was trying to push herself through my body, I'd probably do the same, but even more "unintentionally". smile

Well, that's just stupid! You're bound to have folk running into each other with entrances and exits using the same turnstiles. hmm

The unwritten rule here is, whoever hits the turnstile first has right-of-way.

Space is a premium in NYC. you don't have room to do entrance only/exit only turnstiles. so, COMMON SENSE dictates that whoever's the furthest in the lane has the right of way. you either wait for the person to clear and then proceed, or you move to another lane that's open.

YOU DON'T DO WHAT SHE DID.

That is weird, I've never seen it before. I thought maybe he was going the wrong way.

Oh, and she was definitely deserving of it! lol

before I saw the clip, I was dreading that maybe he was going to hit her or something, but this is not the case of a man beating up a woman.

It's sneaky and rude on his part, but only after she had fairly physically assaulted him.

In my mind, violence is only acceptable as self defense. Period.

They were both rude, but tripping someone is utterly unacceptable.

I don't think of it as an assault or attack, he is certainly an a-hole to do it though! lol

Man, I don't envision a good future for society. This stuff is just going to get worse.

Assaulted him? Are you serious? I can't even see her touching him. He just backs up when he realizes that she has her mind set on going through first, and then he intentionally trips her so that she falls to the ground with all the possible injuries that might lead to.
