NBA: Jordan - "I Could Score 100 in Today's NBA"

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Jordan-I-could-have-scored-100-points-in-toda;_ylt=AsrEUev9E9hi9MJYhDY8_cY5nYcB?urn=nba-277020

I agree. Because of the rules changes, today's NBA favors wing players. Not just Jordan - can you imagine what Dr. J, George Gervin, Bernard King and David Thompson would do if they were in their prime now?

Rules changes in the NBA? What rules changes?

Off topic but...I´d love to know who your all time favorite basketball player is ( yes, you..UptownNY).

Not just MVP wise or high scores but the complete package...personality, career, technique etc.

OK, let´s make it favorite THREE players. wink

( I grew up in the last days of the Golden Age....i.e the very early 80s to mid 80s...so my heroes will always be Dr.J, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, and Magic. I still have that old Converse poster in my basement, the one for the "Weapon" shoe with Larry Bird and Magic on it....I loved their feud lol ).

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

The NBA's not as physical as it was decades ago. You can't touch wing players like Kobe, Wade and LeBron without getting a foul. Shit wasn't like that back in the day - remember the 'Jordan Rules'? Jordan's lucky he didn't play in the 70s. Dave Cowens and Paul Silas should be in jail for what they did to opposing players.

As for favorite ballers;

Bernard King - it's a crime this man is not in the HOF. In his prime, the cat was UNSTOPPABLE. Ask the Celtics. My all-time favorite Knick.

Julius Erving - The NBA never saw the best of THE DOCTOR. I watched him during the ABA days at the Nassau Coliseum - sick. Go check out his YouTube vids. Power, speed and grace in one package. He was my Jordan.

Patrick Ewing - The man who put the Big East on the map, and was the main reason why the Knicks had a great 11-year playoff run during the 90s. Yes, he was flawed. No, he wasn't on Hakeem's level, but he gave you 120% night in and night out, played hurt and put the Knicks on his back. The Garden(and the surrounding area) used to rock in May and June - hasn't been the same since Patrick left.

Honorable Mention - Walt 'Clyde' Frazier, Earl 'the Pearl' Monroe, Willis Reed, Kareem, Magic.

But if Jordan was in his prime, he would rape today's soft-ass NBA(along with the other players I mentioned).

I don't think he's talking about playing at his age right now. I think he means if the rules were the way they were today WHEN he played.

Dr. J has always been my favorite player and he wasn't even playing when I was growing up. Not sure, just always thought highly of him and felt like he was Jordan before Jordan arrived.

His dunks aren't flashy, but the way he was able to twist and turn his body, then throw it down with power was fucking sick.

I know it was just a joke. lol

It just gets a little old hearing these retired basketball stars talking about what they

would do and won't do and how they would match up with today's players. Jordan

and Barkley should concentrate on their respective crafts(especially Jordan) and stop criticizing LeBron, etc.
