Is this news? Lady Gaga has been challenged to a televised sing-off by Los Angeles recording artist Alisa Apps, with the winner taking home a cash prize at least $1 million.

The competition would take place at New York's Madison Square Garden or London's O2 Arena, with each singer performing a series of songs.

"I feel sorry for Lady Gaga -- she's just a plastic doll generated by the music money marketing machine," Apps states in a release. "This contest gives people a chance to choose which they prefer -- plastic or real."

Lady Gaga has not responded to the challenge thus far.

Apps has yet to release her debut album, but a clip of the singer performing the track "How Do I Make Right" has earned 1.2 million views on YouTube.

There's no way she'll show. She's a weak singer at best and stands to earn like 400 M annually. Why risk people finally gettin a clue for a mil? This Alisa chick and her management are apeshit stupid.

Which one is a weak singer? Lady Gaga is extremely gifted vocally (watch some live acoustic performances for evidence). Alisa isn't a bad singer either, if somewhat bland. Why do new artists feel the only way to get publicity is to knock an established artist?

LOL! She has yet to release her debut album? And already a huge ego...never heard of her and 1,2 million views is nothing

This is the chick that called Lady Gaga plastic??

You know you're desperate for fame when you have to piggyback off the name of someone really famous.

I've seen Gaga live and she is NOT a weak singer by any stretch of the imagination....and I'm not even really a fan of hers.

I don't know, yall. I'm hearin a lotta defense of Gaga's voice, but maybe I just have a different idea of what a strong singer sounds like. Like big and brassy and rangy and, y'know, strong.

Not that. But ok. And I hadn't listened to the other chick. I think they're both a fail.

But the fashion helps. And the dick rumors. And the bisexuality and the appeals to sexual openmindedness.

BTW anybody seen the new old Gavin Rossdale pics?
