Yeah I still have mine but when I went through my VHS tapes about a year ago, the (almost) only one I thought I might watch again was Prince's The Undertaker. It's too bad that awesome performance is not on DVD.

Another thing about VHS is that I miss being able to record things off TV. These days people do that with their Tivos, right? Well we don't have that here, and if there is such a thing as DVD recorders then that hasn't had a breakthrough here either.

I have a VHS/DVD combo. I bought it to dub tapes onto discs.

Why the "lmao"?

I'm not someone who throws things out because people think they're out of date. If it works, then I'll use it. I still have an 8-track player and a nice little collection of tapes.

It's called "vintage". wink

I still have mine, but it hardly works, and I rarely use it; I updated to DVD the VHS movies that I still truly like, and I threw away the rest (mostly action movies from the 80s and 90s, and cartoons lol)...

Since I never collected any movies on VHS, and still don't collect DVDs, it was no big heartbreak to unplug the old thing. But I have friends with whole walls of video cassettes. eek

Neophyte

I still have mine and still use it occasionally to watch my old kung fu movies; like Drunken Master, Snake in the Eagle Shadow and all them oldies but goodies. I will eventually get them on DVD but for now I still watch them on VHS.

I went to a coworker's home last June and I was like faint

Every room of his house (literally) was lined with shelving filled with vinyl records. It started in the hallway upstairs and descended into the living room, dining room, and two basement levels. His house had that old, dusty library smell. disbelief

That.

Yeah, but only because there are some old VHS tapes I haven't copied over onto DVDs yet.

Very rare since i got a DVD recorder back in spring. I probably would use it

still to record football games that i only would be interested in seeing once.
