Futurama ruled. It deserved better than getting cancelled. sad

luckily, i heard they had another entire season ready to go and they'll be hitting DVD in the future. So i'll definately be buying that!

I also liked Futurama alot but I think the showed got jacked by being moved around so much.

Also, with Fox having football if the game went late Futurama would sometimes not even air at all.

If they would have just given it the time slot after the Simpsons it would have been a huge hit.

Man, what I cannot understand is the people out there who DON'T love the Simpsons. I have always been a major fan, and something interesting, I have never met a GUY who wasn't at least a casual fan of the Simpsons. It's always the ladies who don't like it. Instead, most women seem to love Friends, which, in my opinion, is a hunk of garbage. In it's first couple of seasons I thought it was ok, another standard sitcom, but it is waayy more popular than it deserves to be.

That said, Homer Simpson. hmmm... well, you're right in saying that Homer's Character has changed since the beginning, but, that's what.. in my opinion keeps the Simpsons fresh. It's entire pace and style has changed, so watching new episodes is like watching a different but equally good show. Plus, I really love watching Homer be a fool, one-dimensional as he may be. I notice him behaving differently depending on the writer anyways.

On a side note: R.I.P. to Futurama and Family Guy, two excellent cartoons that didn't get the chance they deserved (sniff).

The golden eram of the Simpsons was when Conan O'Brien was a writer...it hasn't been as good since then. Futurama is now on Adult Swim -- 11 pm (EST) M-F on Cartoon Network.

Sorry, Battier, but I gotta disagree that the Simpsons is "dumb humour". Quite the opposite! In fact, I think the Simpsons has some of the most intelligent writing on TV. Considering that half the jokes go over the heads of the average TV viewer, I'm amazed that its had staying power.

Likewise, I think Futurama had an even higher intelligence level when it came to the writing. There are so many subtle jokes per episode that if you blink you'll miss them. That's why I love these shows, because you can watch them over and over and always catch new things!

omfg Battier!!! The Simpsons are the funniest thing on tv! Watch some more of it girlie, maybe it will grow on ya.

As for Homer, I think he gets funnier and funnier. I don't think the writers are destroying him at all.

One of my favorites is when Homer says to Marge "Marge, it's not uter-YOU, it's uter-US" hahahahaha

And then Flanders was lonely in one episode while playing scrabble and says "I'm just a "Q" without a "U"" hahahahahahahahahahahah!

Simpsons rule people, plain and simple!
