I can't say i've ever noticed someone making a beeline for me in a busy place shrug

An old man asked me what Deli Coleslaw was in sainsbury's the other day though.

My ex used to say that he was afraid to walk away from me in the store because he knew that when he came back there would be a stranger there chatting with me.

Ppl feel compelled to tell me their life story.

Yes they do.

Which is sort of weird, because I'm creepy.

Not really, but I wish they did. It's fun. Especially when they're foreign tourists with great interest in something specific.

FauxReal

A random stranger just came up to my door and knocked. I opened it cautiously after looking throught the peephole to make sure he didn't look too threatening.

His story goes (and it could be true but who knows) that he just took his son to nighttime pediatrics for something or another and his paycheck won't come in until whenever, but he needed $17 to get his son's prescription filled. None of his friends were answering his calls (he at least had the cell phone on him), which is no surprise at 1:30 AM. He told me he would pay me tomorrow before noon, $10 more if need be, offered his name and address (he lives one building over second floor he said).

Anyhow, I declined all that and gave him $17 dollars. I figure either he is really a desperate dad or he could be using it for less respectable purposes, but I'd rather be wrong and giving an alcoholic, drug addict, whoremonger, etc. money than be wrong and have a sick kid go without medicine.

Of course, this isn't necessarily because I am approachable though I am I guess, it's because of my sleeping schedule and my lights being practically the only ones on in the complex at the moment.

People approach me in Walmart or Target a lot like I must be an employee....problem is I'm usually not wearing red or blue. My NY face is slippin' since I move down south....but I can still muster up a fuck off face when needed. Usually when the "folk who shan't be named" come knocking on my door hmmm hmph! hmph!

Yes they have always done it confused I don't know if I look trustworthy or if they think I am an easy target cuz I always get people begging for money or wanting some kind of help eek One time I was in the car in a Wal-Mart parking lot with my son and this guy walks up and says he needed a battery for his car and had all the money, but needed $20 eek I didn't even let him finish I immediately started to roll my window back up-it was summer so the window was down. My son says I was wrong not to hear the guy out lol but all I needed to hear was that he had all the money falloff must thought I was an all day sucka falloff

I had something similar happen to me once. I was walking out of the store, and this guy approached me. He said he was from out of town, and that his car broke down, but he did'nt have any money with him. He said he need to buy a part for his car,and he asked if I could spare a quarter or a dime.

Now I might have been a teenager at the time, but even then I knew there was no way he was going to buy a part for his car with a quarter! lol

I had a motherfucker approach me and ask me for a cigarette one day. I said "I don't smoke" while I was blowing my cigarette smoke from my mouth. He was pissed! lol

I worked at Macy*s for many years, and to this day, people sometimes come up to me at a store asking if I work there...guess I must still have that "may I help you?" face.

I've had to work really hard at being less approachable, and my friends told me I looked too damn innocent/nice/happy.
