I made homemade pizza!

Also: I finally used that baking stone I bought at a Pampered Chef party 15 years ago.

It turned out great. I started easy...the dough was not hard to make at all. And then I topped it with grilled chicken, red onion, black olives, pesto, mozzarella, and parmesan.

It was delicious and remarkably simple to do. I don't know why I waited so long to try doing it. I think the pizza is going to become a staple over the next few cold months.

This should help me reach my goal weight of 500 lbs. pretty easily this winter.

The baking stone is pretty awesome. Who knew? I think I'm going to start cooking exclusively with clay.

You got one of those, too, huh? I used mine for about 6 months and then it broke. I don't know what happened. I kept it in the oven and preheated it along with the oven whenever I used it. One day I was heating it up as usual, and I heard a big "pop" and looked in the oven and that bitch of a stone was in two pieces! mad Pissed me off because that damn thing was not cheap!

I drink too many cocktails when I cook to be able to deliver to other addresses. I welcome guests, though!

I placed it right into the 550-degree oven and it worked fine this time. I was really nervous about it, though. I cook a lot with a clay pot (which I love, but those things will break if you look at them wrong...I'm always careful to soak it and gently place it into a cold oven and then turn the heat up). But the baking stone didn't have any instructions about soaking first or putting it into a cold oven, so I just went for it.

OMG, I made homemade pizza tonight too!

Regular ones with my garlicky red sauce and three cheeses, and a big white pizza with olive oil, sauteed spinach, toasted pine nuts and fresh basil. And loads of melty cheese.

It's what you make it.

ZombieKitten

I made some week before last, but we've had take away since then, or I'd think about making it soon again.

Looking outside, it's more soup weather neutral

hmm lol

I have a pampered chef baking stone that my mom bought for me from one of those "at work" sales years ago. I love it, too. I often forget to use it because I love all my non-stick easy to wash bakeware. But it does make a fine pizza crust. nod Does great with pizza dough breadsticks, too. thumbs up!
