YAY LOVE SUSHI! My favorite sushi place is "Bangkok Square" in Orlando, across the street from U of Central Florida...great stuff! And my favorite roll...the "birthday" roll...mmmmmmm

I LOVE sushi but only do raw salmon or tuna. The rest have to be cooked. I tend to be really attracted to the ones w/ cream cheese like the Philadephia Roll and the Kani Roll. Love the shrimp tempura roll too.........Oh man, now I'm hungry

And what is tamago??? Don't know that I've ever seen that one........

I love sushi done nigiri style....

with a side of spinache/sesame, edamame, or dumplings

My favorite nigiri sushi is,

sea urchent w/ quail egg topping

octopus-my absolute fav

giant clam

mackerel

tuna

fish roe

I don't care for the raw eel too much because of the hairs

I do not like shrimp/lobster nigiri sushi too much either but it is edible

agree 100 percent... how do you pay for your sushi..as this place i go, it varies...i usually end up paying 13 a roll.

as for side dishes miso soup will do

but i really like Tsukemono(漬物, literally "pickled things")

mostly picked lettuce

although i don't pair it with sushi

i do this odd thing i pair my sushi with pickled daikon and kimchi

Dang this thread is making me HUNGRY!!!! I love love love sushi. It's the one food that almost never causes me any stomache discomfort.

I love miso soup (with crab) as a side dish but also dig the seaweed salad or spinach with sesame sauce.

Futo-maki is my favorite! Side dishes, it always changes, but my favorite is gyoza, edamame is a favorite, always love miso soup, oshinko, chicken teriyaki sticks, I could go on and on for side/appetizer dishes!
