Speaking of dessert...

Anybody in Philly tried The Pumpple? It's a pumpkin and an apple pie baked with vanilla and chocolate cake, and the whole thing's glued together with vanilla buttercream. eek

Yeah, I'm all about the dessert - and I'm not sure I'd eat that. Unless, of course, I had four other people to split a piece with me. lol

Pumpkin, apple and vanilla are 3 of my favorites. I think the chocolate might put this a bit over the top for me, though.

I don't like apple or pumpkin pie.

I'm all about the cake with buttercream, tho. nod

I don't mind at all having more than one dessert served to me at a time but they should still be consumed seperately, not mashed together in one big cylindrical lump.

There is a place in Madison that makes the best cakes. Actually, there are several - but I'm thinking of one that makes a cake with whipped cream icing. My whole life, I have fought the urge to buy one of those cakes and just sit down with the cake and a fork. disbelief

The icing is always my least favorite part of any cake. Thankfully, you can scrape most of it off. lol The innards of the cake you posted are all things I like. nod

Edit... scrape! Dang it. Not scrap. rolleyes Although I guess that worked, too.

I looooove frosting. In fact, my entire philosophy of life can be summed up as, "Less cake, more frosting." lol

barf lol I will often pass on cake by claiming I'm too full from other food just so I don't have to look like a Seinfeld character while I sit there and scrape off all the frosting. I REALLY dislike it. It's just a pile of sugar and I'd rather taste the cake. Even if it's dry and flavorless. lol

The more I think about this thing, the more I'm thinking NO. The flavors aren't even the biggest issue; it's all those textures mushed together in a big heap. feeling ill I don't think I could do it.
