How long U been on the Org? I just had a shock. I been on the org 7 years and 3 months. And that's just the org. I remember the time when we had the PPML (?) the emails. I think even before that we had something similar.

Eight or nine years. Doesn't feel that long, but it's long enough probably. I only really know two or three folk here now. It's a bit like being a ghost in your old house which is now full of strangers. It's not really worth the effort to me anymore, because of that. I don't have the gumption for the effort to foster connections with new people who really don't inspire or excite me. Not that it's in any way connected to the callibre of the personalities on here, I also notice that the board is extremely American-orientated these days. There's an overwhelming regard for delusion and the material and a shocking lack of subtlety and real wit. Maybe it always was like this and I'm just noticing the flaws after falling out of love. Maybe I'm just getting too old for it all. Christ, woe is me. Still, I'm aware that loads of the people I was pally with are still around, lurking, but fuck them if they think they're above taking part. Kindred souls like cloudbuster never even said cheerio when they buggered off, which is a bit cheeky and ignorant. Unless he's dead, in which case I forgive him not posting anymore. | |
