So, What'cha Cooking for Dinner This Weekend? Today we had a high of 69°F/20°C, which woul have been nice but then while I was out I got smacked down with torrential rain, which isn't due to subside for the rest of the night. There's a crazy fog glazng over the trees right now and all I can think is ...soup. What are yous guys chowing down on the next coupla a days? I'm hoping I can get some inspiration from my Org Foodie Peeps...
Tonight I'm settling on a fisherman's stew, with warm buttered herb baguette on the side: either a San Fran style Cioppino or a Tuscan version called Cacciucco without the mussels and clams;
Now what should I cook for Saturday? Any ideas?

I have two shows tomorrow, so we always have a potluck in between. I'm treating my castmates to strawberry and balsamic vinegar ice cream...and lime sugar cookies.
On Sunday, I'll cook my lunch for the whole week. Since it'll be cool, I'm thinking a chicken curry stew might be nice. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Do some jambalaya! A friend of mine gave me a recipe. I don't cook it often because it's very time-consuming, what with chopping all the veggies and do.

I'm feeling lazy so...
...and then for dessert:

My family has a crispy-skinned roast chicken dinner in their future, and probably some kind of slow-cooked stew. I bake something sweet almost every weekend, but the specifics are usually dictated by whatever Jersey has a taste for. I'll let you know.

Ex-Moderator | I think tonight I will be roasting blue potatoes, yams and carrots w/onion and garlic and some fresh sage and I'm gonna make honey-glazed tofu fillets (w/thyme).
I'll probably make a veggie massaman curry at some point this weekend as well. |

Tomorrow will either be a take-away or something quick. I hate cooking on Saturday nights. Sunday I have a load of people over and i'm cooking roast beef. I'm trying to decide what to make for dessert.

It's going to be excessively hot here the next few days, as hot as it's been all year. So I'm seeing a lot of cold salads in my future (lettuce, pasta, potato, etc.).

Chicken kabsa, with yogurt mixed with herbs & onion and Spicy Indian pickles on the side, followed by sweet red mint tea. We better hit the gym or engage in some heavy activity after that because baby, this ain't exactly your calorie-friendly kinda meal but its so worth it. [Edited 9/24/10 14:29pm]

Oh ya.
I was a vegetarian, but I had to add some fish and a little bit of meat to my diet due to health reasons (I was a bad vegetarian myself). That's the only non-vegetarian dish I know how to make except for, like, putting something on a piece of bread.

But umm... my original question stands. You like, boil spaghetti noodles and then add a can of tuna?

I hadn't even equated it with tuna casserole until I read your last post. I guess it's not really that weird.

How do you make your tuna casserole? The only way I've ever tried making it was "Tetrazzini" style, which I really love once in a while

I almost never eat meat, but crispy chicken skin is one of the most addictive substances on earth.
