I know it sounds ridiculous and funny but it's actually true. Our sitcoms and dramas are shit. Our HGTV type shows and especially our children's programing are fantastic though.

Funny you should say that. I don't have cable, so I don't get many stations, but some of the ones I get have shows like Design U, She's Crafty, one where they give people makeovers, one where they plan wedding proposals

And kids shows, too, like Miss BG, Jane and The dragon, Jacob 2 2

I don't know if they are all Canadian but I know many are based on the accents.

A lot of the kids shows you see in the US are Canadian productions.
