The only thing I can drink at Starbucks are the lattes or the frappacino's...that's it. Their coffee had me feeling like I was under the influence of something. I was bouncing off of walls and couldn't decide if I wanted to cry, if I wanted to laugh, breakdance in the middle of the floor or jump out the window. lol I'll never drink their coffee again, ever.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Just keep those nasty "flavored" coffees away from me. I can't stand the smell. feeling ill

nod And flavored creamers. highfive

I drink coffee like most people breath air, but I'm generally not a snob about it. If I can choose I prefer good organic whole beans from small farms (pretty varied and readily available these days). Otherwise, I like darker roasts with a bitter first taste and a slight caramel finish. But it doesn't really matter to me who produced the bean, whole or ground. And I actually enjoy that they all taste different. I use some sort of liquid (cream, milk, soy, almond - doesn't matter) and sugar, so I'm really not particular! I've certainly never turned down a cup of coffee! lol I'll even drink gas station coffee if I'm on the road and that's the only option. The only thing that makes me snobbish about coffee is the weak stuff. Some slightly brownish or amber colored water mess. It actually makes me gag! I should not be able to see through my coffee before adding cream, period! hmph! lol

I use a coffee press now. It is a slightly different result than drip coffee. A bit thicker & dirtier.

I tried to be that hard core. lol I tried the single cup drip method, too. I think both of them tasted better, but I'm too lazy and drink too much coffee for them to be practicle. Plus, I hated cleaning the press. I just use it when I go camping now. Great way to have a good cup out in the middle of nowhere.

I've grown to like the press, there's actually less to clean than with a coffeemaker.

the down side is there is always sludge at the bottom of the cup

Starbucks is good coffee! They mass marketed a good product, unlike most huge corporations.

Haters will hate. There is nothing wrong with Starbucks coffee. Most people wouldn't even know there was a difference in coffees if it wasn't for the Starbucks boom.

only here

this is one of those places

where it's totally in fashion

to hate anything popular

Starbucks coffee, Lady gaga and Uggs

none of them stood a chance in orgland

and I like coffee

occasionally

more of a cold weather thing for me though

How is it you feel?

Actually I can drink it now, but there was a time when I couldn't finish a cup. I can pour the half & half into it forever and it never seems to get any lighter hmmm

Y'know what? I actually don't hate Uggs. I've owned Uggs, as a matter of fact. But I live in a place where it's below freezing for the better part of half-a-year. And I've worn them with jeans and a down coat. Or jeans and an Aran sweater.

What I don't like is Uggs with cut-off shorts strolling the streets in a hot climate. Or Uggs with pajama bottoms (and sloppy people in them) strolling the streets anywhere.

The Uggs are beside the point. I just want people to leave my friggin' eyeballs alone.

OK, I can totally agree with that. I've always figured Uggs were designed to look fashionable in places where it's cold and weather actually happens! lol Unfortunately, nearly ALL of my experience with them involves your latter examples. And I mean those EXACT examples. I hate both of them. lol

I'm just sayin'. lol

I just found another function of coffee. To get you away from the disgusting food smell emanating from the cubicle next to you. It must have been "clean out the refrigerator" day at my co-workers house. He's been eating the most putrid shit all damn day.

I finally had to leave and get a latte. rolleyes lol

Oh yeah....(!)

I brew a cup every morning at work, Mon thru Fri....sometimes two.

I only started drinking it about a year ago, but once i did, i knew i would be a coffee snob about it...I bought the whole beans and a grinder so that i could grind my beans just before the brew....that lasted about 3 wks...lol....that got to be too much work.

I have tried Folders (it's ok) and now drink Dunkin Donuts' coffee from Costco...that shit is delish.

I like splenda and cream...now the cream is where i get adventurous....I have tried and LOVE the following flavors: Leche de Dulce (caramel), Hazelnut, Irish Creme and Chocolate Caramel (!)

I am looking forward to the holiday flavors that come out...pumpkin and egg nog etc.

I like coffee

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.
