I agree. My ex husband got pissed when I finally settled into a decent place, and got in my face that his child support should not be going towards my rent. Which is absurd. Kids need a roof over their head.

Well great.

Now what are we gonna argue about? neutral

I got it.

You ever notice how when you go somewhere to eat, they'll give pregnant women larger servings for the same price? I say it's discrimination. I mean, I've got at least the appetite and perhaps the nutritional needs of a grown woman plus a fetus. Why can't I get the serving and a half of Lo Mein and some extra General Tso's Chicken? Why is my money apparently less valuable?

Discuss.

Is this a fat joke? mad

I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
Whats it all worth only the heart can measure
It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside

No. A joke, yes, as in I was not serious, but not a joke about weight. If it was a fat joke, I'd have just mentioned overweight people, not pregnancy. I just went with pregnancy in an effort to jokingly offer up a topic I knew we would be on opposite sides of. Realistically, though, I do not care if they give pregnant women more food than me.

Who wants to debate that drugs and alcohol are only in use because

1: you have no creativity, and are bored and cant find anything else to do with yourself, your brain rotting and you dont know what to do for fun so you injest alcohol or smoke

2: youre insecure

3: "man I have tons of problems, let me get drunk instead of handling them"

4: your people do it, so hey, might as well do it too right? "hey well, all my friends eat dead bodys, I might as well too"

I was kidding. lol

I haven't recieved any larger portions yet though. In fact, McDonalds screwed my whole order up yesterday and I got pissed and threw all my food in the trash and ended up eating a pb & j on a wrap with a banana rolled up in it. I called it 'Sloppy Cock in a Blanket'.

lol

Yeah my ex would get larger portions than me from time to time, even though I'm over a foot taller and about 100 pounds heavier (maybe a little less than 100 when she was pregnant).

yeah...I have NO problem with drug testing welfare recepients. If you want a hand out then you need to pass the test. a handful? I have a hunch it's more than a handful.

I'm not including the problem bunch in the entire group of welfare recipients when I say in all sincerity, welfare is not a hand out for all people. It's put in place for people who've legitimately gone through hard times, and although I've been blessed to have seen 2 businesses rise and collapse personally in my 40 year old lifetime, I daresay with all the taxes I've paid out for the past 22 years to the point of persecution, if things ever got so dire that there would be food stamps making the difference between keeping a roof over my head and being in the cold, then I would take food stamps wholeheartedly. I've been working and paying taxes since I was 16 years old. If anything ever happens to me, and I would need to reach back into the system that I gave into freely for the last 23 years, I would do so, and I would dare for anyone to assert that it was a handout. water

I understand the concept. I've been paying taxes my whole life too so if by chance some day I need to use welfare I will but I will still feel like it's a hand out and I will not feel good about it. But like most jobs require a drug test...then so should welfare.

Agreed... and let me add to that.

Not only should drug tests be required... but more importantly I think that any mother of young children should NOT be able to buy cigaretts, liquor, beer, and lotto tickets with the cash allowance they recieve from the state.

Growing up with a mom that collected welfare, the state awarded my mom the bare minimum for us to survive. She wasted a large portion of the cash benefits on beer, cigaretts and the lotto, money that could have been used for us, but instead of household goods and clothing she bought lotto tickets and two packs of cigaretts a day.

I went without much as a child, and as an adult I found myself in a bad way financially and had to go on welfare myself for two years. I was shocked as a mom that I would have to buy my neighbor diapers, toilet paper, toothpaste and other things for the kids that lived next door because their mom pissed that money away on BS. This is a common practice with moms on welfare.

It made me angry, I eventually had to stop helping out those kids because their mom made it impossible for me to care about them and it broke my heart. That mom became so dependant on my generosity, I actually enabled her to buy more beer and liquor. I had to stop.

Now that I am not on welfare, I still live in the same neighborhood, and all the mothers at the store keep buying tickets for the lotto, and the liquor store stays busy, but yet those kids of those moms are always begging on the street.

Its crazy and it angers me on a deep level.
