Remember the good ol' days of sitting by the radio just waiting for that song to come on so you could push play and record at the same time. Just to carry that tape around in your walkman, sure not to leave it in the sun because it wouldn't play anymore.

I think of all time The Real McCoy- Another Night was my hardest to catch. Around here there was only one station that played that music on the radio and it was static on top of it. Nowhere to be found in stores til' much later.

well.. like right now, i listen to alot of old music, but like.. my classmates DON'T and on the radio there's not much old music on, so ..

I didn't record songs from the radio but I put together my own little radio shows by placing two stereos in front of each other, one to play songs (from tape) and the other to record them. In between I would stick in my head and introduce them, or tell a little anecdote. I was probably around 8 or 9, lol.

Ha Ha! We used to pretend we were the DJ in between songs too. Looking back, that was so much fun. Wonder if I still have any of those tapes anywhere......

Never did that, but my sister did and she also had a few tapes from her friends.

I hated hearing songs with the beginning or end chopped off.

I was/am a music junkie. My allowance didn't support the habit and I was too young to work. lol

But on the other hand I still have most of my singles. Will cherish them forever.
