True Blood ep 36 "Evil Is Going On" Season 3 Finale

From www.hbo.com

"Evil Is Going On"

In the season 3 finale, Eric grapples with his conscience while plotting his perfect revenge against Russell. Fed up with being "vampire crack," Sookie considers a new life without Bill - or any other vampire. Tara discovers some surprising news about Sam, whose rage resurfaces upon learning of Tommy's latest transgression. Jason finds a new calling after warning Crystal's family about an impending drug raid. Plagued by visions, Lafayette turns to Jesus for help, and learns his boyfriend has more to offer than companionship. Hoyt hopes for a future with Jessica, spurning Maxine's pleas to wed Summer.

sigh After tonight, 9 long months. HBO stinks. sad

9 months? eek

I'm a late-comer to True Blood... started with Series 1 a few weeks ago and just caught up. So far I haven't been more than a few days without an episode - 9 months is TOO long!

Okay somebody please tell me what Eric was talking about regarding the secret that Bill was keeping from Sookie? Something about he knew what she was way back in Season 1 but didn't tell anyone? Was that all?

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

QSA procured Bill to find out about Sookie, upon meeting the Rattrays who attacked Sookie, he probably glamored them to make it look like they held him captive so that he could taste her blood.

Yeah that was the secret. I don't know about the glamoring, but what Eric said was that Bill allowed Sookie to get pretty much beaten to death so that he could give her his blood.

Their whole meeting, which appeared to Sookie to be "fate" was manipulated by Bill, who was in the service of Sophie Ann.

I'm soooooooooo glad they didn't kill off Russell. I love his crazy ass!

The Hotshot storyline took an interesting turn, but not enought to make me really care. Like I've said, I don't like how AB changed the Hotshot people, still, I can't believe they killed off Calvin Norris.

I was so glad to see Alcide again, but he was TOTALLY under-utilized this season.

Gotta say, it wouldn't bother me is Tara stays driving off, but I don't think she will. Lafayette is going to need her next season.

Pam was WONDERFUL again! Love her! Love her! Love her!

Was I the only one grossed out by the thought of a "peanut butter and butter sandwich"? lol

I hate HBO. I really do. This 9 month bullshit is excessive. If they showed TB every other week, they could still film the same amount of shows and not have this loooooooooong hiatus.

O.G. I couldn't agree more...forget the other fucking shows. TRUE BLOOD TRUE BLOOD TRUE BLOOD!!!!

I gotta say, I did not love this finale. Where was the action?

Overall, for the exception of Pam finally having more screentime and Talbolt gettin it from Eric, I didn't love this season best either.

Some observations...

* How cute did Sam look in a T-shirt and boxers? love

* Tara's hair and new outlook on life: I actually kinda liked them both. boxed

* Tonight's the first time I cared at all about Tommy. I've wanted him dead all season, but I actually felt some sympathy for him tonight. sad

* Russell's not dead! And even in the face of the True Death, he was still talking trash! woot!: BUT... how cheesy was that James Bond 007 this-is-how-we're-gonna-off-you-only-to-see-you-return-one-day lecture from Eric and Bill? rolleyes

* Eric is only moderately attractive to me.... but I gotta say, he was looking pretty darned good covered in cement tonight. thumbs up!

* Now that Eric is safe, evil Pam is BACK! dancing jig

* Queen Sophie Anne looked amazing tonight!

* That embarrassing vamp Matrix fight between Sophie Anne and Bill neutral There are no words.

* Jesus will be back in Season 4. Woohoo! thumbs up!

* Sookie's gone to Fae World. What exactly does that mean? shrug Moreover, why would I care when the much more crucial matter of Jessica's safety in the wake of Maxine's nuttiness is an issue? timeout If Jessica bites it in Season 4, I will personally launch a Kill Maxine campaign! pissed

I haven't watched this yet, but I am looking forward to it... I've been wondering why certain episodes seem cool to me and others seem like crap... well my favorite episode so far... "I've Got a Right to Sing the Blues" was written by Alan Ball himself... and so was this finale, so I can't wait to see it. Maybe he's the difference.

I agree w/ most.....what a snooze fest. This seemed more like a series finale than a season finale. Like when NipTuck didn't want to leave storylines open.....lots of talking & reflecting. bored You're right......when Tommy said he couldn't read....I did feel a little sympathy for him. I still want him booted off though. Sam probably just shot him in the legs or something. I think Calvin was supposed to be the only character death of the finale. Sophia Ann's outfit really did look good. I wish they would've showed Pam taking out Ruben....that would've been more action than the Queen fight. I killed myself laughing when Hoyt told Summer he didn't want her.

Maybe Walking Dead & Boardwalk Empire can tide me over for 9 months. lol And my mouth watered at the peanut butter & butter sandwich....anything with pb makes my mouth water. Sookie crushed me when she dumped Talbot's remains.....now there's no possible way to revive him. sad His remains looked different too.....tonight they looked like blackberry cobbler.

lol nod I was laughing my ass off at Russell. He's a funny dude. Tara's hair did look a hot mess...she used to entertain me when the show first begun, now she bores the hell out of me. rolleyes This episode wasn't that great, but if it wasn't for Russell entertaining me, it would had been worse. I nearly choked when Eric showed up at Sookie's house with cement all over himself and the look on Bill's face was priceless. lol Maybe this means that Eric will get Sookie's panties next season??? hmmm
