I'm actually in a lot of pain today. Started last night, had to get up and take a Tylenol 3 at 4am. I think I have a severe sinus infection on the left side of my face because it's really unbearable.

I was wrong. I am not better, in fact I spent the day in the hospital.

I thought I was fine until out of the blue, I suddenly felt like I was shot in the left side of my face. It was immediately unbearable. Went to the hospital, had a bunch of neurological tests done as one of the concerns was an aneurysm...they think for now that it's just the sinusitis, but if my face turns red or starts to swell I have to be rushed back.

Shit, lots of crappy things happening to me lately.

Don't screw around; go straight back to he hospital if it doesn't get any better. After a day or two on antibiotics you should definitely feel a reduciton in pain.

I was in so much pain I couldn't even be scared...but my mom (who took me to the hospital) was silently freaking out because I apparently was describing the same things my father described when he had his brain aneurysm 10 years ago.

I'm on painkillers and antibiotics so at the moment I feel fine but I'm just so terrified that the sudden pain will return. Fuck, it was unbelievable pain. I almost threw up when it hit me.

It's been a bad 2 weeks for this girl, that's for sure.

On a high note though, I did manage to get some early yesterday afternoon.

That's ok. No, it's not a migraine. I have/had a cold so it's most likely just a sinus infection, just a really bad one. Or it could be the onset of Trigeminal Neuralgia which sounds like a lovely disorder to have.

Yeah, you don't want chronic pain in one of your cranial nerves. That would be enough to make a bitch commit murder.

I hope it's nothing more than a bad sinus infection putting pressure on the nerve. Miserable, but temporary.

Thanks, me too...but if I do have a third episode in the same amount of days, I will not be convinced that it's just an infection. How can something hurt so bad, then I feel fine then a day later suddenly hurt again, then feel better again. It's fucked.

But I've got my fingers crossed that it never happens again. I think the other patients in emerg thought I was on drugs because I apparently was jittering and doing repetitive movements with my hands...to try to concentrate on something other than the pain I was in, I guess.

I'm not sure if it swollen because I had a cool facecloth on that side of my face most of the day, or something more. I'm not in pain right now and I'm so tired so I wonder if I should just try to get some sleep. I dunno what to do anymore. This fucking sucks.

Have people check in on you. Regularly.

I had another episode today just after 11am - lasted about an hour. My doctor refuses to see me until Monday because he wants to drugs to really kick in. So in the meantime, if I have another one, I just have to grin and bear it. I'm working on coping techniques and trying to get into a routine when they happen.

Anyway, this could go on forever so I'll just end the updates here.

Once again, I'm feeling totally fine at the moment...but from 11am-12pm I was in agony again. I'm just pumping Tylenol into me every 6 hours.
