Cause she woke up puking in an internet cafe then found pictures of herself uploaded by "herself" on her MySpace I believe. You lose all reasoning and self control and just go on auto pilot with this drug.

After a doctor's checkup she wasn't abused thank God, maybe they thought it was too risky or bystanders were finding it strange who knows. She has no other recollection.

They say FB is working with authorities to stop it but as soon as they take pics down they pop up somewhere else. Even if FB deletes the accounts of everyone doing it the idiots will just make another profile. Really how can they stop it?

Can't a person's address be traced somehow through a computer? I remember reading a thread a few years ago here on the org, where someone was going to commit suicide and the quick thinking of a wonderful moderator, somehow traced that person's address and sent the police to their house and saved their life. Couldn't Facebook do the same either with a previous account or when a new account pops up with the pictures and send the police out? I don't know a damn thing about how these computers work so I'm just asking.

the criminals in this (and yes they are crimninals) need to be beaten with a birch in public, go to jail - be gang raped so their arse begins to look like a highway and they can't sit down for a month and then have the pictures pasted on facebook - oh wouldn't that be justice"!!!

I did that on an ex-jw board. I think I posted about it in P&R a long time ago. I traced the IP address to find the city and called the police. Ended up talking to the guy for hours. I believe june7 was the mod who did that here.

But the police did say they were finding some of the ones who posted the pics with FB's help. But this could go on forever. I hate to say it but this girl's life will never be the same unless she changes her name and relocates.
