Speaking of black women and hair, did your mom/grandma ever do this to you?

When I was kid, right before she used to wash my hair, my grandma used to break out that comb, part my hair into sections and just start scratching. Heaven on earth. Of course, that is allegedly bad for you, but it felt like heaven on earth. To this day, whenever I go to the hairdresser and they start scratching I am heaven.
