Im not scared as long as I go in my sleep. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

No ...not al all, not even the slightest
BUT i am scared to lose my loved ones especially my kids, more than anything this scares me the most
and it upsets me thinking that someone i care about could be going through this fear, knowing they r about to lose a love one
i think it would be easier to know it's me than to know it is another person

How you feelin', doll? | |

interesting, tell us about it!
Did you go through the tunnel, see the light, have a chat with Jesus, see Grandma? Were you upset to come back?

No I'm not scared of dying. I'm scared of pain, so I wouldn't want to know if or when I'd die a painful death. But death itself I'm not scared of. The spirt lives on forever anyway, so death is just a transition from this existence to another. Life will go on.

Still pretty much the same physically, but much more encouraged now that I'm no longer misdiagnosed and taking a bunch of unnecessary (not to mention expensive) medications! Plus I get to go home to my crazy tribe today.
So, good!
I'm glad to see you around. [Edited 9/17/10 7:12am]

I would like to know when my time is up. I think that would put 'urgency' on how we all live. If you actually KNEW when you were gonna die I think you'd treat people and your family different. People who are usually on their sick beds make peace with everyone up to and including the creator.
So again, yes, I would want to know ... Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

Obviously I don't want to die tomorrow, but knowing that even the coolest fuck on the planet will die gives me hope.
It's about as natural as breathing.
What bugs me is third world people dying needlessly when they don't have to. All you others say Hell Yea!!

For that reason (we don't know when we're gonna go) I think everyone ought to start living that way right now. Our time in this world is so short, and God put us here to learn how to love.

My folks just this week bought their graves! Honest!
Apparently, you can fit three in there, so the race is on!

my client just bought her plot! she is not old, but her dad died recently and his grave was situated so nicely she snapped up the ones beside his her husband was like when she told him she just spend $3K on real estate at the necropolis

are you fucking kidding me? please, to pull a line from a song:
"It's life that scares me to death"

They paid only £508. The Council are only allowed to sell so many plots per year, and they got the last one!
They're happy with the plot. It's on the other side of the graveyard from the pork processing plant. I said get the cheaper ones over by, you can't smell anything six feet under anyway, but they never listen to me.
They're quite matter of fact about death and stuff. The Wife is just [fingersinears]lalala[/fingersinears] don't want to know...

I know right, you don't care about the nice view overlooking the river
BUT your loved ones DO care when they come talk to your dead self if it smells of pork by-product

True ... I put a strong effort into living somewhat like that. I have a son so that has me want to 'live in the now' and be here as long as the creator would allow me to stay. I want to at least be here long enough so I can see that he can take care of himself, without my help. Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

I'm absolutely certain that everybody who's given it a proper thought and isn't totally convinced of the existence of a pleasant afterlife has been scared of it at one point or another. It's normal to try to not give it much thought though, since it's not something we can do much about anyway, and fear can be crippling.
I am a man of faith but I can still fear death occasionally. Since even the prospect of relocating to a different country can feel daunting sometimes (with all the huge changes it brings), it only makes sense that relocating to death does as well. [Edited 10/8/10 14:31pm]
